Our family of 5 had a great stay at this home. Everyone had their own space to relax after fun days spent at the beach and fishing off the back dock. We would stay here again!
The house is in a great location, just a short drive to all the attractions.

From the owner: "Sorry about the neighbor’s dogs. They’re actually visiting dogs staying at the property next door, so they aren’t regular residents. Unfortunately, I don’t have control over the neighbors, but I understand how this could have impacted your experience."
What a great property located close to it all! Very clean, great communication from the property manager, and amazing views all around. Can not say enough good things about it, will absolutely be back soon!
Awesome place! Everything you need! Clean and spacious with up to date kitchen and bedrooms! We especially enjoyed the back deck with an awesome view of the sound. Sunrise and sunset views are awesome! Location is close to the entrance to Fort Macon National Park so traffic is light. Great Property we will stay there again.

The house was great, memories were made!
The house was very nice, and we would definitely stay here again! There was a "hiccup" with checking in, as the code to get into the house was emailed to us when we made the reservation, the code was changed, and it was not sent to us. Luckily, the house was left unlocked and we got the new code once the host returned our call. The beds were clean and comfortable. We had plenty of clean towels. The view was spectacular.I am also providing additional feedback directly to the homeowner as to the dock, which is a shared dock and not private, as well as the cleanliness of the house when we arrived.Overall, we had an amazing time.
House is intelligently provisioned, we needed nothing, my son fell and skint his knee? there was a first aid kit, there was coffee and tea for my wife and daughter, and the reclining couch was fantastic for me. we all enjoyed walking on the pier behind the house, and the location is directly by Fort macon which has an excellent public beach as well as the fort itself. We went on Can on days and had a ball. Its a great house and we will stay there again. only negative is the door can be a little problematic you got to pull it and lock it or it may open.
Check in was super easy. House was immaculate, clean and has a fresh smell. The recliners in the living room are so comfortable and great for putting your feet up and relaxing. Master bedroom is big and roomy. The bed is super comfortable--I slept very well there. Mater bath is great, and the shower has great pressure. The guest bedrooms are great, as well as the guest bath. Great kitchen for cooking, too! Everything you need is right there. The views of the marsh and port are amazing!! Great porch for hanging out and reading. I cant say enough about this house, I / we loved it. Everything works perfectly in the house. It is very well maintained and managed. Great job, Melissa!
We loved our stay and made a lot of memories. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable.
Just a couple of things...
The code to enter the house was emailed to me almost immediately after making the reservation. When we arrived, the code did not work. Luckily, the house was left unlocked and we were able to get inside. We got the new code after the host returned our call.
The dock is shared by a few houses. The man with the dog was still next door and didn't like us using the dock. He put two notes on the gate leading to the dock. His dog barking did not bother us, but the way he was with the dock made us not feel comfortable using it.
We stayed 4 nights, for which we paid a cleaning fee. We were provided a list of things we had to do before checking out or we would be charged additional fees. The floors had been swept, and the beds had clean sheets when we arrived. However, as soon as we walked in the door, there was a sticky handprint on the wall. There were empty beverage cans from previous guests left in the storage compartments in the arms of the sofa. Food was left in the refrigerator. There was laundry left in both the washer and dryer. With all of the check-out rules, we were hoping for a cleaner start.
Overall, we did enjoy our stay, and we would stay here again. We enjoyed the privacy and the view was amazing.

From the owner: "We're sorry your stay didn’t work out. While we understand the weather was a concern, someone may still have been able to shelter at the property. Unfortunately, we weren’t made aware of the cancellation until after the scheduled check-in time. At that point, a refund was requested, though we have to follow the cancellation policy set at the time of booking. Thank you for your understanding."
