Bruce's group were great guests and followed all house rules. They treated the place like their own and left it in great condition. Definitely recommended!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It literally had all the amenities needed! It was clean and cozy and close to all trails and boats to Flower Pot island. Enjoyed our visit to Tobermory .

Thank you Laura, for your feedback and review of our property. We look forward to welcoming your group again in future.
Overall a nice place to stay. Beautiful area. Good location for all the things we wanted to see and do. Our biggest complaint was the bed in the master bedroom was very hard.
The home was clean and beautiful but...the property view showed a private home surrounded by trees/forest, this is NOT what it looks like! We were very disappointed, it was the main reason we chose this property. There are houses on either side! The security cameras were on ALL the time, No privacy what so ever.

Hi CDN, thank you for your comments. Please note that all pictures in the listing are actual and depict the exact surroundings. There are trees/forest on the back of the property and on the front of the property, with the road passing in between. We do not have an aerial view of the property on the listing. There is one house on one side and another one on the other side is about 200 ft away. The security cameras are only on the outside of the cottage which is very normal with any property these days and in line with the rules and by-laws.
The house its self was really nice, the area of the peninsula was also very nice. However the house wasn’t super clean, cob webs, dead bugs in the windows, uncut grass, the bbq had a big hole in the bottom because of rot, every dish I took out of the cupboard had remnants of food from previous renters, the spatula still had pieces of egg from previous renters. For the price we paid I expected a clean well stocked rental. The potential is there, but coming in short unfortunately.

Thank you for the comments, however, they are very different from other reviewers. Cob webs and bugs on the outside of windows is very common in cottage country. You clean one day and they are there the next day. The hole in the BBQ you are referring to is the drain hole for grease to flow into the collecting pan. Some dishes might have had some residue but NOT ALL. The dishwasher and pods are there so you could have run a cycle, but again, other guests haven't experienced these things. The nightly price you paid is actually less than renting 2-3 rooms in a 1 star motel in the area in this busy season.
we were 4 adults and our stay was comfortable. All rooms including main room (kitchen dining and living area) are great, clean and comfortable. Overall our stay was enjoyable and memorable.
Stay was great! The house was beautiful. It was very clean and had everything we needed. A perfect place to stay and go on day trips around the area. We loved visiting Miller Lake Park, which is just around the corner, for coffee, treats, pickleball and water activities!

Thank you for your feedback. All the other guests have found our property to be very clean. You mentioned you looked under the couch and found dust and hair. If anyone does that in their homes they will get the same results. We also inspected the couch after you left and found no smell.
This is a very lovely property. Pictures are accurate. Having 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great. Response from host was excellent. Beds are very firm mattresses but comfortable!

It was a pleasure hosting Brenda's group. They were great and respected the property, kept it clean and took care of the garbage. Would highly recommend.
The cottage is exactly as described. It is new and well equipped. The living and kitchen area are bright and airy. The bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. It was a good location for exploring Tobermory and the surrounding area. We enjoyed the fire pit one evening. We also walked down to the lake. It is about a ten minute walk.

Hello, all properties serviced by well water have a distinct smell and we do advise the guests about this well in advance and ask them to bring bottled water for consumption to set their expectations. All guests are okay with this as you can see from numerous reviews for our property. This is normal for properties in country side on well water, we are however looking into options for filtration system.
