Shimogyo Ward holiday rentals

Very convenient location. Walking distance to most popular places

Staff is friendly and are able to communicate in English quite well.

Fantastic stay at serviced apartment near Kyoto Station. About 10 mins walk away. Very near Higashi Honganji Temple. Rooms are clean and big with fantastic view of Kyoto Tower. There’s plenty of amenities in the room as well- a microwave, an electric stove, a fridge, a deep soaking bathtub, a laundry machine, and they provided us with hangers and clothes peg to dry our clothes. The trash is removed on request, and towels and bedsheets are not changed everyday- but that is okay for both of us. Front desk staff are very polite and helpful as well. Highly recommended! Lots of good restaurants nearby as well! We are very likely to return to staying at Irori when we visit Kyoto again. :) thank you Irori!

Stayed at MONday for 3 days, 2 nights as a family with a 1 year old baby. Informed the hotel before arrival that we require baby crib, but they were still surprised when I asked for it at check in, then took more than an hour to fix and arrive. To be fair, they did communicate with us that the baby crib will be delayed after we checked into the room. Location of hotel is about 10 mins walk from Kyoto Station. Manageable if you don't have luggage, but with 3 luggages, a stroller and toddler in tow, it was quite a challenge. Otherwise, a big Family Mart 1 min away, which we could grab breakfast. The entrance light is motion sensor activated which annoyed me, because every time i got up to use the toilet or make milk for my baby, it turns on and i was afraid it will wake my kid up. I eventually draped a bathrobe over her crib to block out the light. There's no separate sleeping and dining areas. So when baby is sleeping, we had to move around with just the toilet light on. didn't feel that the room was as spacious as i thought it would be, especially with 3 luggage and a stroller in the room, but it still served it's purpose and was comfortable enough for us.

Very spacious! We love the Japanese style of room layout. The amenities are fantastic! One of the best stay among our 11 days vacation in Japan.

We booked the junior suite for a family of 6. The whole place is very comfortable and feels like home. Enough space for 6 of us except no cleaning and change of towel Everyday. The small kitchenette is well equipped and good for heating food when we didn’t want to eat out at certain nights after the whole day out walking and visitIng the sights in Kyoto. The living room is big and good for resting and watching TV. The bath room and a separate toilet in the hotel were ver helpful for us. They are big too and not the typical tiny prefab ones in most of the hotels in Japan. Walking distance to both Kyoto station and Pontocho and many other areas. Some people may find it far but hey this is Japan especially Kyoto and a bit of walking is good for everyone. The shocking things happened was on the 3rd day of our stay, the whole place was shaking badly because of the earthquake early in the morning. It was a bad experience for us and luckily no one was hurt. We were supposed to go down to Osaka that day but the train services were down. No train and bus services to Osaka and we ended up staying in Kyoto for another night at a different hotel. If we visit Kyoto again. We Would love to stay at Resi Stay again
