About this property

CASA ENCARNITA Papillon Guest House

Casa Encarnita offers a unique Tropical Oasis in the outer Brisbane area. Two complete seperate large private homes: Home 1, Encarnita (87yrs) and her carer: Home 2, you and your group. No shared areas.

The creation of this oasis begun in 1998 when after the building of the home, her husband Rodrigo was diagnosed with cancer. Rodrigo was only able to enjoy the home, the garden which he so loved was completely bare. Encarnita took on the challenge and created what it is today.

The space
A very large home with 5 bedrooms, 3 separate lounges, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, 2 dining areas, laundry and sitting outdoor area. Upstairs sitting lounge also has sofa bed(6th bedroom). Private outdoor heated Spa!!

Guest access
Casa Encarnita is attached while still providing complete seperate privacy. The one room linking the two houses together, is only used for housing an extremely large fish tank.

Check-out: No later than 10am on the day of check out, unless otherwise negotiated.

Please do not park on council lawn (council fines may apply).

- Don't disturb neighbours. Obey local rules and respect the community you are visiting
- Try not to waste water and switch off lights and heating when you leave the property

Great place to stay in Brisbane

We had a large group staying and this was the perfect house with room to spare. Good location for Bisbane and Gold Coast day trips. Great communication from the host, who allowed us to check in a few hours early. Highly recommend.

Lovely Eccentric and Comfortable Home

We absolutely loved staying at Casa Encarnita! There was plenty of room to accommodate our large team, and enough space for those who needed quiet time to have it. Communication with the hosts was simple and clear. We had everything we needed and are keen to stay again next year if we can!

Perfect for our team from Singapore.

We were here Dec 2023. Lucky to have found Casa Encarnita within a short time frame. Maria and Frank (brother-sister owners) were very helpful from when we were making the booking to through our stay. The house is not new but it’s clean when we arrived. It is adequately equipped for cooking our nightly dinners, owners even brought a new and bigger rice cooker for our large group of 10. Yes the house can sleep 10 comfortably. I particularly like the Spanish feel of the house with paintings by the owners!
