About this property
Böstebacken Tiny House by Tiny Away
Summary:
Sweden has a talent for making you feel remarkably small in the best possible way. Böstebacken Tiny House by Tiny Away sits in the oak-and-pine forests of Västra Götaland, an hour from Gothenburg.
Lakes are cold and clear, and the elk hang around without reservations. The woods, the water, the inviting quiet. Sweden has been like this for centuries. You'll understand why people keep coming back.

The Space:
Böstebacken Tiny House by Tiny Away is located in Alingsås. It has earned its reputation as Sweden's capital of fika, and rightfully so.
This town ambushes you with charm, with cobblestone underfoot, timber buildings leaning into each other like old friends. Just 40 minutes from Gothenburg, this tiny retreat is close enough to get here easily, far enough to feel like a different world entirely.
A cozy 252-square-foot tiny home located in a deep Nord Forest ecosystem surrounded by nature reserves, lakes, and native wildlife such as deer and moose to keep you company.
It has easy access to split air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
Outside, nature reserves, forest lakes, and the occasional moose wander past. Nearby, Playa Mjörn beach and Nolhaga Park offer easy access to swimming, walking, and open air. Nolhaga Lantgård, a working farm with a petting zoo, is a favourite for families with younger kids.
During your stay, you should be able to find all the necessary equipment inside. If you feel anything is missing, please let us know so we can improve your experience next time you visit.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house, the private garden area, and our little fireplace. They are also free to walk in the forest around the property.
The Neighborhood:
Böstebacken Tiny House by Tiny Away sits in the charming neighborhood of Alingsås, also known as the Fika capital of the world. Granvattnet, which translates as "spruce water," is the name of our neighborhood, as there is enough water nearby to nourish our beloved deep forest of Birch, Poplar, Oak, Beech, Elm, and Ash. We recommend trying mushrooms like brunsop, kantareller, or our favorite, karljohan.
Located 40 minutes away from the city of Gothenburg. Playa Mjorn has easy access to the beach, Nolhaga Park with awesome recreation, and Nolhaga Lantgård, just a few of the nearby attractions.
Our local area offers several charming attractions worth visiting. Brobacka Coffee House has been serving guests since 1945 and is known for its warm service, delicious waffles, freshly brewed coffee, hearty sandwiches, and homemade cakes. Just 11 minutes from the property, you can also enjoy beautiful hiking routes through pristine and preserved woodlands.
Another highlight is The Castle, also known as Koberg Castle, a three-story estate with about forty rooms and a length of 60 meters. Originally a fortified house and nicknamed after the German castle Coburg, it is now owned by Carl Silfverschiöld.
For those who appreciate sustainability, Nolbygårds Ekobageri is a wonderful stop. The farmyard’s activities follow social, economic, and ecological sustainability principles with a shared vision to promote development inspired by the green and circular economy.
