Thank you for the kind review! We’re glad the location and gorgeous night sky exceeded your expectations — that view is a favorite. We’d love to host you again anytime.
The star dome is a great retreat! Close enough to the city for dinner and shopping but far enough to enjoy the country. The interior is well decorated and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided and the pool was great for relaxing.

We loved this getaway, so peaceful. Close to the river, had a beautiful candle light dinner. Went to a vineyard close by. Romantic getaway. Will be back soon.

It was exactly as described on the listing. Perfect place to go to clear your mind and relax. It is like camping but way more comfortable. We loved every minute of our 4 day stay.

Becky, Thank you so much for your positive review! We are so glad you found our property the perfect place for a relaxing stay. We can't wait to host you again soon!
The Stardome is a very unique place to stay. Very nice on the inside and the communication was great. The road going in was a little rough and it takes at least 15 minutes to find water access.

Hi Kory, thank you for sharing your experience! We're delighted that you found the Stardome to be a unique and nice place to stay and appreciated our communication.
We hope to welcome you back for another memorable stay!
The property is exactly as advertised. My wife and I booked this for our anniversary as she wanted to visit some place close to home but also in the Hill Country. This location had everything we wanted and we really enjoyed our trip. The area is secluded and private and we found the accommodations comfortable and cozy. You are going into nature so you should expect to see bugs, spiders, bees, and other typical critters you would expect to see. We thought it was great. The only negative is the actual road to reach the location. We have a truck so no problems for us but it is not a maintained road so you will need an SUV or truck to reach this spot - I am sure a regular car can make it but it will take a beating. Outside of that, we had a fantastic stay.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay. We'd love to host you again anytime!
Place wasn’t clean inside or outside. Cowboy pool dirty and shade laying over in it. Notified the property owner and was just asked if I moved it to use the pool. Pool was dirty. Going inside after 5 minutes saw two scorpions come from under the refrigerator. Everything was dusty and was just not a comfortable stay. Ended up leaving and staying in a hotel. After letting the property owner know my concerns I was never answered.

Words of Caution
I enjoyed taking some time to myself at a place with the amenities offered by this stay. However, I think I would have chosen somewhere else for this price, if I could go back. Not worth the price in my opinion.
-If you’re terrified of bugs or spiders or critters, this is not the stay for you. My stay included a large spider climbing around on the walls, ants that snuck in under the tent seam, a dead hornet in the yoga studio, a daddy long leg in the outdoor shower, and a spider that built a web across the outside of the front door over night. Imagine glamping, not a hotel.
-To get to the stay, you’ll have to take a gravel/dirt road. It has lots of loose gravel, deep potholes, steep inclines and declines, and other hazards. If you have a standard car or anything with a lower ground clearance or not the best tires, I’m not sure you’d be able to safely make it without ruining the underside of your vehicle or getting stuck.
-I had to call and try the door a bunch of times until I could get it to open. I think the lock is broken.
-If you have a mold allergy, this isn’t the place to go. I couldn’t sleep all night because of allergies. I didn’t know why until I opened the curtains in the morning, revealing spots of mold on a large area of the large window/wall.
-The toilet is an incinerator. Kinda freaky. Not a huge deal, but I can see some people NOT loving that.
-I was charged a cleaning fee even though I followed all the rules, which was an added annoyance.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed some aspects of your stay, though we're sorry to hear it didn’t fully meet your expectations. Our property is more of a rustic, nature-immersed experience, and we understand it may not be ideal for everyone. We appreciate you bringing up the cleanliness concerns, the lock issue, and the mold; we'll address these right away. The road conditions and incinerator toilet are part of the unique location, but we’ll take your comments into consideration to improve clarity for future guests. Thank you again for your valuable feedback.
