2 bedroom, spacious self-contained guesthouse nestled in the middle of an avocado orchard. (Guesthouse is attached to main house, but separate with own entrance - see photos).

The main bedroom has a queen bed and a 2nd small bedroom has a single bed.

The guesthouse is upstairs so as you look out it almost feels like you are nestled in the trees with the birds.

Spacious living area to relax including a small balcony to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Location:
Katikati is a small mural town nestled between the Kaimai Ranges and the Tauranga Harbour. Close to all the Bay of Plenty has to offer - Beaches, bush walks, wineries, rail trail biking, golf, and hot pools. Katikati town centre is less than 10 mins away. Waihi Beach is also just 25 minutes drive north and Tauranga 25 minutes to the south.

Great accommodation in an avocado orchard with 50 plus old trees. Magical place and quiet. Little communication with owners because wasn’t needed. Very good hand book. Left milk and bread in fridge for us, good supply of tea,coffee etc. Comfortable beds anda friendly cat came to visit!

Sparrows nest is the best!

Really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Sparrows nest. Beautiful outlook and nice quiet location. The place had everything we needed- even a pod machine for our coffee addiction 😁 Easy check in and check out. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely loved my stay at Sparrows Nest guesthouse. Communication from Ally was excellent from start to finish, and I felt like a welcomed guest. The continental breakfast and little extras in the guesthouse were such nice touches. It was very quiet, comfortable and relaxing. I would stay here again and would recommend anyone looking for a relaxing getaway to stay at Sparrows Nest guesthouse!

In the orchard

The accommodation was completely comfortable, spick and span, extremely well appointed with so many thoughtful and useful touches. We just loved the avocados provided for us. And the fact that the Wisteria was in full bloom enhanced the beauty of the surroundings. Thanks Ally!

Fantastic setting and peaceful nights sleep

We were delighted to see how lovely this carriage house apartment was. Very spacious living/dining/kitchen area with gorgeous views into the avocado orchard and a cute little balcony with chairs. The master bedroom was well appointed with plenty of electrical outlets and a very comfy bed. We only discovered the smaller single bedroom at the end of our stay but it would be fine for a child or small adult. Extra luggage could always go in the lounge. The hosts were exceptionally thoughtful in the well stocked kitchen. Plenty of cooking appliances, utensils, dishes, glasses, etc, plus fresh fruit and avocados, bread, porridge, peanut butter, milk, coffee and tea. The only thing to be aware of is that the shower is extremely small and one of the triangle shaped ones, so if you are a larger person it may not be very user friendly. All in all it was the perfect place to stay for a relaxing getaway and the situation of being upstairs over the garage with a completely separate entrance made it very private as well. Highly recommended.
