Valencia. Relax, Swim & Spa.

Valencia is a 6 guest cottage in Yerrinbool, Southern Highlands, 1 hour drive from Sydney, set in 2.25 acres, surrounded by native bushland & lush flowering gardens in peaceful surrounds close to the National Park.
Regular visits by wild birds, koalas, possums, kangaroos, wombats and blue tongue lizards and lots of pretty flowers emerging in Springtime, Valencia is a gem.
Below the pool is native vegetation and many trees that make for a relaxing getaway

The Cottage, Studio and Office:
The cottage has a renovated kitchen, breakfast room, dining room and lounge room with wood fire heater plus gas and electric heating (if you don’t like to light your own fire).

It’s country meets Hampton energy, polished floorboards, 2 carpeted queen bedrooms (sleeps 4) inside the cottage and an Art Studio equipped with kitchenette and sofa bed lounge (sleeps 2). Guests choosing to stay in the studio are immersed in the garden surrounds with a short walk to the Annex / Office - with laundry / second bathroom (featuring a claw foot bath tub and shower).

The property highlights an enviable 20m lap pool with infinity views of the bushland vistas together with a built in spa great for late night or early morning relaxation and a great vantage point to overlook swim safety in the pool.

Pet / child centric:

We are a pet and child centric property and sleep up to 6 people (with extra travel cot and toddler daybed options). We also have a cubby house / meditation hut sometimes used by guests as meditation space.

Location:
Mittagong and Bowral are close by (15 min drive) for fine dining, shopping, local galleries and other retail. Southern Highlands wineries are nearby as well as popular wedding venues like Berkelouw, Grow Wild Wildflower Farm; Briars and Bendooley Estate.


The Space:
The main cottage sleeps 4 plus toddler / cot options. The Art Studio sleeps 2. There is a bathroom in the main cottage and another in the Annex / Office with shared laundry. The Office has a daybed for comfort but not used for guest sleep arrangements.

The property is fully fenced and dog friendly.

Plenty of native bushland areas to explore at the back of the property and rambling garden pathways at the front of the property.
In summer months the region is known for snakes. It’s rare to see them as they react to and hide from noise / humans but please supervise pets and children.



Pool and Spa:

We are a country cottage in beautiful surrounds. It’s important to note that while the pool / spa are professionally maintained ahead of your stay that during your stay you may find leaves blown into the pool as it’s situated within the magical tree canopies and occasionally bugs take a dive / swim. There are pool scoops to use during your stay if required. It’s not uncommon to finish a lap with cockatoos peering at you 😉



There is a pool cover to take off that can be put back on as required if the wind picks up. The pool and spa are heated and include underwater lights as well as ambient tree canopy lights. During winter please note the Highlands reaches sub zero overnight and the spa can take time to heat. The pool will reach 18 degrees usually in the middle of winter typically and is set between 27-30 during warmer months.

The property is equipped with a plethora of solar panels to offset some of the the energy consumed to heat the very large body of water. We therefore minimize pool heating to daylight hours. The spa will

Heat if turned on day or night.

The pool and spa are secured with fencing and gates in compliance to the relevant codes. Please keep pool gates shut at all times. Please practice pool safety and supervise children and pets at all times.

The property has room for 3 car spaces or 4 smaller cars

We are not a hotel (but arguably a better experience for the experienced Airbnb guest) but offer a beautiful well appointed cottage with a professional lap pool, spa and nature to enjoy. Once the cleaners have setup your stay you may find dust during your stay, the highlands can be a little dusty or curious critters about the pool.

There are no outdoor fires permitted on the property due to local fire restrictions. There is a local RFS that monitors the region for bush fire safety.
There is a BBQ at the property also to enjoy, please clean it when you finish using it.
