About this property

ZC1 Home Away From Home Near Zion

A two bedroom, two bath home with full kitchen makes this an ideal place to set up headquarters for your tour of the National Parks located here in Utah.

This modest 1,000 sq. ft. home has everything you need with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and space to sleep 6.

Each bedroom has a king bed as well as a single daybed and an on-suite bathroom.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities including a refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, dishes and a variety of small appliances. 

The unit is also equipped with a propane BBQ, washer and dryer, A/C and Heater, Wi-Fi and a Roku TV- so be sure to bring your logins with you!  We also have an antenna that gives you about 18 local channels.

Guests have access to the entire house, washer and dryer, barbecue, our cottonwood grove and other amenities found in the back portion of our property.

Your host is available by Airbnb chat, live chat text, phone and the caretaker is always close by.

La Verkin is a small town located about 20 minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park. We have a grocery store, a couple of gas stations and an excellent coffee shop. We are located next to Hurricane, which has a Walmart, movie theater, restaurants and more. If you need more than that, St. George is about 25 minutes away.

You will need a car to get around. We have plenty of parking.

We really enjoyed our stay at ZC1! Mattresses were comfortable and there were extra blankets for each bed. There were plenty of towels and washcloths. The water got nice and hot! Check-in and checkout were seamless. We accidentally left a bag when we checked out, and they let us know quickly enough that we were able to go back for it. Communication was great. We appreciate all the extras that were included, like shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower and lots of kitchen items like a pizza cutter and rice cooker. The location is great; only 20 minutes to Zion National Park. We would definitely stay here again!

Hi! I am Carolyn Murset. My husband and I moved to southern Utah 30 years ago because of the magnificent scenery and the equally magnificent people. We had two children when we moved here and now have five. We have thirteen grand children who all love this part of the world. It is no wonder so many people visit here, and then end up staying. My husband loves to take pictures and has hung a few at our properties for you to enjoy. He is partial to black and white photography. Our youngest daughter also seems to have caught the bug and you will also see some of her photos as well. I love to sing, act, play the guitar and have hundreds of other interests. It was my idea to start down this road with a vacation rental and we believe it has been a great thing for us and for our fellow travelers. We like to travel, but don't seem to do it as often as we would like to although this year we helped move one of our daughters and their family to Connecticut.
We have enlisted the help of our daughter in law to help with bookings, so if you call you will likely talk to Monica. She is a great and does a wonderful job.

Why they chose this property

We have several other vacation rentals and wanted to offer something at a great value for travelers. The prices in Springdale have skyrocketed and even then all you have is a motel room with thousands of other people. We have completed a complex of 24 bunkhouses for more value driven customers who want to prepare some of their own meals and relax after a long hike.

What makes this property unique

If you are coming to Southern Utah to take in the scenery, having a home base is invaluable. You can make a pack lunch and come home to crock-pot meal or barbecue and save a bundle. This is on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. (We consider St. George to be the big City), but still close enough to a Walmart and Costco if you like.
