Le Petit Renard - Waterfront Retreat with Hot Tub, 45 min to Mont-Tremblant!
Welcome to Chalet Le Petit Renard | Retreat & Spa, our little family paradise away from the city! We bought this rustic chalet in July 2020, when our first baby was only 3 months old. Today, our family has grown to 3 children and a dog, and this place is filled with our fondest memories. It is an authentic, warm chalet full of precious moments. As it is our personal haven, we truly appreciate it when our guests take great care of it.
Nestled along the Maskinongé River, just steps from the charming Lac Brochet, our chalet offers the perfect balance between rustic charm, cozy comfort, and total connection with nature, just 45 minutes from Mont-Tremblant.
THE CHALET (Cozy & Rustic Atmosphere):
4 comfortable bedrooms (maximum capacity of 8 guests)
Main Floor: Master bedroom with a queen bed and a kids' bedroom with a trundle bed (2 twin beds).
Top Floor: 2 bedrooms with queen beds.
Cozy living room with a comforting indoor fireplace.
Welcoming kitchen, fully equipped (Lagostina cookware, The Rock pans, raclette/fondue sets, crockpot, ZeroWater filtered dispenser). DeLonghi dual-function coffee maker (drip and espresso — please bring your own coffee).
Upcoming updates: To elevate your comfort, starting July 2026, the chalet will feature a brand-new, even cozier sofa and a new oven!
Child-friendly: Stair gate, secure doors, and full baby equipment available (pack 'n plays, baby baths, high chair, play mat).
OUTDOORS (Summer Kitchen Paradise):
Complete outdoor dining space: A large balcony with a main BBQ, a griddle (plancha), a charcoal BBQ, and a real outdoor pizza oven. We happily supply the propane for the main BBQ and griddle. You must bring your own charcoal for the second BBQ and your own wood for the pizza oven.
Relaxing private spa: Ready upon your arrival (maximum 6 people, no glass allowed).
Campfire area: Adirondack chairs, bench, and swings right by the water.
Outdoor fun: Private dock, children's play structure, and 2 kayaks available in the summer.
Easy-access parking (please do not park on the left side of the chalet, as the septic tank is located there).
SEASONAL ACTIVITIES:
Summer: Swimming and diving in the crystal-clear water, kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking on trails accessible directly from the chalet, recreational fishing.
Winter: Skiing at Mont-Tremblant (45 min), cold-water plunging (the river does not freeze), winter hiking, snowshoeing, and cozy evenings by the fire.
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING (Important Rules):
Network & Wi-Fi: There is no cellular service directly inside the chalet (the perfect excuse to unplug!). You can sometimes catch a signal on the dock or a bit further on the grounds. Free Wi-Fi is available for your needs and entertainment (Apple TV, DVD player).
Water Supply (Surface Well): The chalet is supplied by a surface well, meaning our water supply is not infinite. We kindly ask you to use water mindfully and responsibly (short showers, do not leave taps running).
Very Sensitive Septic System: It is strictly forbidden to flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. Wipes (even "flushable" ones), tampons, or food scraps will cause major damage.
Firewood: We provide 5 to 6 logs for your very first indoor fire. Please plan to bring your own firewood for the rest of your stay.
Life in the Forest: The chalet is located right in the woods. It is completely normal to encounter some bugs and insects outside or occasionally inside, despite rigorous maintenance. Don't forget your bug spray!
Pets: One well-trained dog is welcome, by mandatory prior approval and reservation only.
Constant Improvement: We are always looking to improve our chalet. If you have any ideas or suggestions after your stay, please share them with us! :)

The property was smaller than in the pictures but it all worked out. We were watching the Worldcup and lost the internet connection for a couple of hours. The owner was very kind and helpful on the phone and helped us solve the problem.
My family had and excellent stay. Really enjoyed the location. Far enough away to unplug but close enough to go for adventures and supplies. Location is right off a lake. We really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you Paul! You and your family are welcomed back anytime :)
We loved our stay at this cabin! The hot tub was great, and it's on a beautiful spot on the water. Make sure to bring extra firewood if you plan on having a fire - there's a nice wood stove indoors, and a lovely firepit and seating area outside.

Hi Chelsea, thank you for your kind words! You're welcome back any time :)
Magnifique cours d’eau. Vue incroyable.Voisinage paisible et très calme. Séjour très relaxant.
