Good accommodation and location but I’m dissatisfied with the cleanliness from the kitchen and few bathrooms.

We acknowledge that the cleaners had not picked up on the controls, small knobs on the cooktops were missed, apparently distracted by a phone call, although the cooktops were clean. The bathrooms were clean as the local plumber and council had only inspected them the day before re drainage and adherence to regulations as a result of a recent deluge in Port Macquarie which left many homes damaged. The guests moved the furniture in the living area and a bedroom and was not moved back. This has been an unfortunate situation as we have so many happy return guests who love the. location, the fact that there are 4 bathrooms and 5 toilets.Balconies upstairs and a deck overlooking the canal downstairs. They also love the fish they catch off the jetty. If you had to house ten people in a motel the cost would be considerably more without a kitchen, laundry or the space. We are disappointed at the guests not allowing us the opportunity to rectify the situation. We wish our guests all the best.

We were told we could check in early as the cleaner had finished. When we walked through the house it was filthy and had not been cleaned at all. Kitchen had sticky benches, food splatters on the cupboards. The bathrooms were all dirty, dead cockroach squashed on the mirror, hair & fingernails everywhere. A cupboard downstairs was full of mould and pillows on the lounge were dirty and stained. We then found a heap of broken glass on the back patio. House is advertised as 5 bedroom but is only 4 with a sofa bed. Also no spa as advertised. Beyond disappointed with this stay.

Surprised that such a critically fastidious guest should leave without telling about the broken drapes in the master bedroom, damage to the dishwasher, dismantled electric blanket and children's handprints on windows and doors. We acknowledge the rapid turnaround may have led to some minor oversights and the storm damaged cupboard is awaiting repair by builder. 4 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the media room equates to "sleeps 10" as stated in the description of property which is quite detailed. However, we shall in future ensure entry only after verification of completed clean.

We have been hosting air BnB properties for 20 years and have recently moved from Shepparton in Victoria to Port Macquarie.

Why they chose this property

We love this area as it has so many attractions, great cafes and restaurants and has rain forests in the middle of town. The 7 beaches are scenic and from May till December we watch the whales migrate up and back down the coast There are waterfalls in the national parks and lots of markets and events. The CSIRO say that Port Macquarie has the best climate in Australia.

What makes this property unique

Our property is unique in that it is spacious, in a quiet neighbourhood but very close to the centre of town and beaches. It is on a canal with a jetty to fish from or to moor a boat. The bathrooms are large with a choice of showerheads. The property is new and has all the mod cons.
