About the host
Hosted by Gill Sutherland
Gill and Peter are well travelled hosts who have lived in many different countries. Having moved to Byron Shire in early 2017, they are fully aware of local sights, amenities, restaurants, activities, cycle routes etc. Being world travellers, they thoroughly enjoy hosting guests from throughout Australia and beyond.
Why they chose this property
The eclectic, lay back and vibey atmosphere of the Byron shire is what attracted us to the area as well as the spectacular coastline and hinterland national parks.
What makes this property unique
We are on 16 acres of regenerated rain forest surrounded by other large properties with cattle, macadamias, horses, etc. Although very much in the countryside, it is a quick 4 minute drive into the heritage listed village of Bangalow with its restaurants, cafes, and country pub. Also pharmacy, little supermarket, fabulous bakery, petrol, galleries, antique furniture, bottle shop, fashion and gift shops etc.
