Check in process was a disaster!!.Booking made and paid for 3 months before. I asked host 3 times on 3 separate days by both VRBO app and text message before our arrival how to check in .No response, On the day before arrival, I called VRBO customer svc to find out what to do, After 20 mins on hold, VRBO said we will receive an email from host. We did receive one listing check-in instructions " Security guard will have an envelope with keys and all instructions when we arrived" Upon arrival at 8pm the next day, no one was at security desk. We could not get in as inside door was locked. There was an emergency number to call but it did not work. We were able to get into lobby as a resident let us in. Another sign at security desk with different emergency number also did not work. Security guard showed up. HE DID NOT HAVE ANY ENVELOPE WITH KEYS AND OTHER CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS. He started phoning his manager . After about 1 hour, a representative called us back. She said she did not understand why the reservation was only made the prior day (We reserved and paid 3 months prior). The original room we booked was not available. We were shown to a different room which we accepted. The Security Guard on duty that night was extremely helpful and worked very hard the evening we arrived to resolve our problem
