Note: Our transient vacation home is located in a Tsunami Evacuation Zone. In an event of a Tidal Wave, evacuate to higher grounds. We also incur occasional bridge closer due to flooding of Hanalei roads. Access to our vacation home may be limited to all local traffic. Please inquire with owner.

Our home is adjacent to the vacation home stay apartment with a private entrance and a designated parking area. The vacation home stay apartment is on the second level with beautiful views of the mountains featuring breathtaking waterfalls. The upstairs unit is private yet accessible to owners, when they are home.

Our vacation home comes with kitchenette: microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and a washer and dryer. The floor plan is very spacious with over 900 square feet of living space. A large lanai area to relax while viewing the mountains. Our home is only steps away from the popular Hanalei Bay or what the locals refer to as 'Pine Trees'. Winter swells brings in nice surf and summer sun attracts family vacations.

We do have a couple beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and a cooler for your use. Nearby shops and restaurants are conveniently located while popular hiking and snorkeling areas are just a few minutes down the road. Also a great area to go jogging or biking!

Location, location, location!! Very close to the beach with easy access. Beach chairs and umbrellas there if you want them. We walked into “town”, about 20min, each night for dinner at one of the many restaurants. All were great.

We had a great stay in Hanalei. Highlights included the proximity to beach and use of the bikes to ride to town. We barely got in our car with this location. We rode to restaurants, nearby sunset watching location and more. The size of the home is perfect for two people. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and the bathroom has good water pressure. Bring your own shower products. Jana the host was very responsive and answered all our questions promptly. People staying downstairs were friendly, it is a duplex so you will hear your neighbors, but this was not a surprise due to the description. Also there was noise from the dogs next door, but we ran the fans while sleeping at night and closed the bedroom windows which helped us to sleep well.

Great place and location!!! Quiet, very short walking distance to the beach and close to all the places we love. The apt had everything you might need during your stay and is very comfortable. Owners were extremely easy to communicate with on all accounts. Offering great suggestions and help etc. Only recommendation is that the Apt could use a serious deep cleaning and an AC unit (we were there end of June and it was very hot and miserable in apt during the day) luckily we were gone most days busy at beaches or hiking. Highly recommend this place and have referred a few friends to this place since our stay. Many thanks to the host!!

Peaceful stay with authentic Old Hawaii vibe in Hanalei

The property is located in a neighborhood with an authentic old Hawaii vibe. Jana the owner couldn't have been nicer. The location is quiet with amazing views and sunlight all day. Close to Main St Hanalei and lots of great beaches. Terrific amenities like bikes, beach chairs and umbrella.

Walk to Hanalei Bay

First off we loved that we could take a very short stroll to the water. With how busy that Hanalei is, it was nice to not have to park. All of the beach stuff that was provided was also nice. Chairs, boogie boards and much more. The kitchen was stocked well for the size, except they could use some better coffee mugs. The place itself is just OK. It was clean enough but needs a deeper clean like dusting shelves and cleaning walls. The hardest part was how hot it was. We would have to go for rides in our car with AC to escape the heat. The place could use a door on the bedroom with a wall unit. Having the windows open during the night are only an option if you sleep like a baby because the roosters, dogs and cars are loud. The view from the bed was amazing though. That being said, the price for this place does make up for this, if you can handle the heat. Sleeping was fine, even with the bedroom windows closed...it did cool off a little. I always dock a star for having to strip beds when you leave. I don't mind piling towels, starting dishwasher and taking out trash but I am being charged a cleaning fee and I shouldn't have to strip beds. Nobody wants to see the mattress that them and 2000 of their closest friends have slept on.

Description is accurate. Location is great and it has everything you could need for a comfortable stay and fun in the beach.. Check-in is super easy.The unit is clean and very well stocked and the bed is comfortable. It's a quiet neighborhood with some occasional noise from the highway. A coat of appliance paint to cover the rust on the outside of the fridge and a replacement of the shower door and it would be a perfect 5 star spot

Wonderful rental in Hanalei

The rental was just as described, but even better. It feels larger than the photos show, and the beds and pillows were super comfy. The kitchen had everything you would need, and the washer and dryer were a nice surprise. We made great use of the cruiser bikes and beach chairs and umbrella. We loved exploring the north shore and coming back to this little gem of a rental! The owners are super kind and respond quickly to questions. Thanks Jana!

The property is a block and a half from the beach on the west end. Loved having the beach cruisers to ride around the town. The unit was nice. Bed was comfortable. Opened the multitude of windows to take advantage of the trade winds. There is no AC, but ceiling fans in the bedroom and living area was nice. Will definitely stay again.

Wake up to mountain views with the beach around the corner

The pictures do not do this home justice. We were amazed. Wake up to mountain views from the bedroom. The surfboard, beach chairs and beach umbrella were also brilliant. The host was a great communicator. The beach is walking distance, just down the street. Great spot for beginner surfers. Beautiful sunsets. Would definitely stay here again.

We are an outdoor family of four: Brydan, Jana, Brock, and Jordyn. We have one dog, Cash (our beagle), a boat, a few bikes, and lots of boogie boards to enjoy at the beach. On our spare time we love to go to the beach to fish, swim, diving, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and just hang out with family. We love to travel, so we know how to treat people when they are on vacation. This has been our home for generations, starting with my grandparents. We pride ourselves and honor our neighborhood with respect to our land, waters, and people. We do live downstairs part of the time but we also share it with our family and close friends. We enjoy talking story with our guests sharing our favorite spots on the island and also giving tips about Hawaiian culture and values. But we also give each other space for privacy.

Why they chose this property

Our vacation apartment is cleaned thoroughly as this is a family home and we take pride in sharing it with our friends and family. We have beautiful sand beaches, lots of great snorkeling areas, awesome winter waves for surfing, and beautiful sunsets. Our home is conveniently located close to Hanalei Bay in a local laid back community. Yet you can still bike or walk to town in less than 10 minutes. If you enjoy living with the locals and hearing the kids play, friendly neighborhood wild chickens crowing, and dogs yapping then our vacation home is perfect! Come and enjoy Hanalei in an apartment that will please!

The perfect property if you want to be close to the beach, vacation in a local neighborhood, with all the amenities of an upstairs studio: microwave, coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator, washer/dryer in unit, large master bedroom (cal-king bed) with a beautiful view of the mountains/waterfalls, and a reasonable price. We are a short distance to the famous Hanalei Bay, restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities.
