We loved staying at this charming house. I don’t know that you could find a better location anywhere!!! Gorgeous views right from the front deck. Highly recommend.
The absolute best overall location in Ingonish. A perfect beach in front of the house for a perfect beach day, to swim, to enjoy water sports such as paragliding and kayaking. It's walking distance to the lovely Periwinkle Café, the Seagull Restaurant, the Groovy Goat Farm and local community.
Very nice place, a few minutes from the park and from nice beaches. The location is just perfect. Comfortable place with a very interesting view. Quick reply from the host when needed. I recommand this place without any hesitation.
Maude’s place is a lovely home, the beach and the harbour were an added bonus. We loved our stay, it was a perfect place to unwind after a day filled with hiking, sightseeing and of course eating.
Maude’s Place location is fantastic. The house has a porch with an incredible view of the hills and sandy bay. Inside the house the beds are comfortable, a fan is in every bedroom, the kitchen is well equipped for6 people and they had plenty of towels. We will definitely return for another vacation!
Everything about Maude’s Place was wonderful. The location and setting cannot be beat. Because we visited in October, the weather was cooler and the wind did pick up at times, but I could wrap in one of the extra blankets while we sat out on the peaceful veranda. The house was roomy and clean, well stocked with absolutely anything we might need and the beds were comfortable, A perfect choice - I would highly recommend a stay here!
Maude’s place is a beautiful, cozy house with a lovely view. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck, watching the boats and birds. A small beach is right at the end of the driveway and a nice place for a short walk. The kitchen was well equipped. The national park is nearby and has many wonderful trails to hike. We thoroughly our stay and hope to be able to visit again soon!
We had an excellent experience at Maude’s place as a family of 4 with two small kids. The location was perfect - central, close to many beaches including a great small sandy beach across the street, house and property were in great condition. Kitchen was well appointed with great appliances, very clean. Beautiful views. We will be back!
This is a beautiful location overlooking the ocean and harbour. The front covered porch is where we spent most of our time enjoying the cool ocean breeze. The beach area is perfect for swimming and it was nice to stroll down to look at the boats in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the whole house very clean. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Ingonish! Thanks for a wonderful experience Feit family!
Lovely and quiet view of lobstermen leaving and returning for work. Friendly people- yummy gelato at the goat dairy. Thought house was by itself on hill due to pictures but, it is not. Didn’t matter still feels like you are alone. Close to National Park
Beautiful house next to a beach and small harbour. Stunning views. The house itself was fabulous with a great living area , superbly appointed kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. There was also a lovely verandas, but sadly not the weather to benefit from it! Very quiet area with lovely trails and beaches. A few small local amenities were open, the co-op at Neil’s Harbour was great and lovely coffee and ice cream at the groovy goat farm.
We enjoyed our stay at Maude's place. when we arrived we had trouble with the lock but Aaron was very responsive to our call. The lock definitely has a knack though! The house was comfortable and well equipped with great views. The only slight issue was a bit of traffic noise. Thank you for letting us stay
I recently stayed at this stunning property on the Cabot Trail, and I couldn’t be more impressed! The place is gorgeous, with breathtaking views and easy access to the beach. It was impeccably clean and well-maintained, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location right on the Cabot Trail is perfect for exploring all the natural beauty the area has to offer. Additionally, the value for money here is fantastic – you get so much more than you’d expect. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future!
Maud's Place is lovely. The house is roomy and delightful with beautiful views and outdoor space. It is comfortable, clean and very well outfitted. We would definitely stay again. The only issue we had is that we are older (with mobility problems) and the outdoor steps and inside steps are a bit of a challenge. Also, the barbeque needs replacing.
We stayed four nights. Wonderful setting with views of Ingonish Harbor and Ingonish Bay. Very quiet. Just a stone’s throw from the Cabot Trail. Very convenient for exploring one half of the island. Grocery store just a few minutes drive. House is comfortable. Grill was great. Skillets were all in bad shape, with the nonstick coating badly scratched; we lined them with foil for safety. Cooking pots are not good quality but ok for basic heating. Knives were not great for a lot of chopping. Note that one of the bedrooms has a full size bed, not a queen size. (Website states three queen size beds). Also there is an air conditioner in the downstairs only (kitchen, dining room and living room). Ceiling fans and room fans are in the upstairs (bedrooms). The upstairs got a little hot during the day (outside temps about 75F) but with windows open was cool enough for sleeping. Communication with owner was great and he was quick to respond to questions.
