We had a fantastic stay and really loved the property. It was peaceful, comfortable and a lovely place to relax and unwind. The outdoor bath was a highlight — such a special touch and the perfect way to enjoy the surroundings. We also really enjoyed heading into Titirangi for breakfast and dinner, including a lovely birthday dinner at The Olive Room. It was a great base for exploring the area while still feeling tucked away and peaceful. We’d happily stay again and would definitely recommend it.

Enjoyable stay! Beautiful whare and space/land. Watching the mist roll over the mountains in the morning was divine. Could see it would be amazing in summer. The compostable toilet was our only issue. Struggled with that a bit :)Rachel was very kind to let us have a late checkout as well. We will be back or have whanau check it out when they visit us.Thank you so much.

Hi Arnia, thanks for your lovely review. We loved having you as guests! I have been experimenting with the toilet system in an effort to use it properly in a permaculture way. It may just be that the message is to return to the original one that everyone seemed to manage! I shouldn’t try to reinvent the wheel 😊We welcome you and/or whanau anytime. Thank you so much for your feedback!x

An amazing get away while still being in Auckland. Rachel is a wonderful host, and the bach itself is cozy, comfortable and well worth the drive. It feels like you're a world away from civilization, but a 10-minute drive gets you into the local town. Close to walks and beaches, it is a great spot to do a whole lotta nothing. Easy instructions to get to the bach and for the house itself, and a nice set up so you can sit and watch the trees. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a getaway !
