About this property

One of Maitland's original homes, transformed into a quality place to holiday.

2 hours from the hustle and bustle of Adelaide is an oasis of serenity; the Manse with 3 large bedrooms and a beautiful, period lounge room and dining room. This 100-year-old gentleman's bungalow offers up to 6 people a quality getaway from a hectic lifestyle. Maitland is a beautiful and historic town, on the peaceful and idyllic Yorke Peninsula. Maitland has two pubs, a magnificent cafe/Bakery and a supermarket. In the heart of Yorke Peninsula, from Maitland you can branch out on day trips to visit the many attractions offered on the Yorke Peninsula (Pristine beaches, great fishing, local pubs, wonderful natural landscapes, wineries, craft brewers and distilleries). Or you can stay put and cook lovely meals in the well-equipped kitchen and drink some wine on the manicured lawns. Affordable and an easy getaway.

****Book for 3 or more nights we will thank you with a discount of 10% on the nightly rate when we process your booking. 7-night bookings 20% discount and 28 nights 30% discount. Barley Stacks and the Maitland House welcome you to Maitland, the gateway to Yorke Peninsula. ****

The upstairs bedroom is private and could be used as a separate living area from the rest of the house (Includes a bar fridge and an ensuite). Lay in bed all day with some champagne and chocolate or make yourself a coffee :-) and watch old movies :-).

The TV in the kitchen has local channels tuned in and the TVs in the other rooms are smart TVs, so you can access all your streaming services. A PS4 is in the lounge is available for the young and not so young kids. The is a laundry in the stone shed in the back yard.
