This is the BEST place we’ve ever rented on VRBO. It was a beautiful property and was extra clean and well decorated. The owners live on the main floor and keep to themselves except to make sure there’s nothing you need which you don’t because it’s so well stocked. Downtown is a 5 minute walk and the beach about 10 minute walk. We couldn’t have been happier here!! We highly recommend this place.

The top floor apartment was cosy but effective. The unit was very clean and supplied with every imaginable extra you could need. The adjoining deck was spacious and well furnished including a BBQ, and a gazebo. Sandy, our host, was very friendly and provided good communication.

Visit

The apartment was wonderful. The hosts were so friendly & accommodating. The little touches in the apartment were so well thought of even down to the coffee & tea which is a godsend if you arrive late in the evening. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely Attic Apartment

This is a lovely two bedroom attic apartment that was very clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated with nautical, boat and lighthouse motifs. However, it lacked a kitchen sink or a stove inside, making cooking outside difficult on rainy days. All cooking has to be done on the outdoor gas BBQ, which was brand new. The fridge is small as this is an attic apartment with a sloped roof. They need a second fridge beside it for larger families. A note of caution for VRBO guests in any VRBO property: Always take extensive photos of all rooms and of every item, lamp, decorations, and appliances upon arrival and when you leave. Always take inventory of any and items, be they kitchenwares, mats, towels, etc or you will be charged for any missing and damaged items. This host Sandra Keep charged us for a couple of missing beach towels and a hair dryer nozzle.

This is very slanderous. I hope they change what they have posted here. I did not charge them for anything they took, or for trying to break into my home.

Very clean and well appointed. People looking to book should be sure that they read the booking details carefully so there are no surprises. We knew it would be on the smaller side and that things like kitchen sink and stove were not provided but still very comfortable and you can do pretty much anything you need to do! Sandy and Barry are very friendly and helpful!

We are from Cambridge, Ontario, and we fell in love with Port Burwell 20 years ago. We knew we had to share its beauty with others.

Why they chose this property

We love sitting by the river, watching boats go by, and walking the trail, both of which are right in our backyard, and it’s a quick walk to downtown and the beach. It's nature at its finest.

What makes this property unique

Our property back on to the Big Otter River, close to the mouth of Lake Erie. There is also a trail that run behind us for a wonderful hiking experience. We are in close distance to downtown, the beach, and there are two marinas close by us.
