About this property

A peaceful retreat on the ocean with a spectacular view and access to the beach

This little farm house was built in 1864 and has been in the current owner's family since 1974. It has weathered many a Nor'Easter and raised generations of families.

When you first enter the house, you are greeted by a cozy, open concept first floor with unique antique features and all the comforts of home. The warm and bright dining area boasts an incredible view of the property's organic, wild blueberry fields and the Cumberland Basin. The living area includes an entertainment centre and a wood fire place to keep you warm on chilly nights. The upstairs has an inviting bachelor suite bedroom a small junior suite and a primary suite. The shared four-piece bathroom has everything you need to feel pampered including fresh soaps and linens.

This is the perfect place to get away, unplug and observe clouds forming over the water in the morning, thick blankets of stars at night and wildlife visits in the distance.

This is a lovely place. It is off the beaten path and is delightfully rustic. We had a wonderful and very comfortable stay.

So relaxing and beautiful. Having clouds of sandpipers flying at the edge of the property was definitely an added plus!

Relaxing and beautiful stay!

My group (including a dog) enjoyed our stay so much we wanted to extend our trip. Short walk to the ocean on a well kept property. It was my first time seeing live porcupines roaming around!

Relaxing Quiet Weekend

The place was a nice, cozy cottage with a stunning view of the Bay of Fundy. Plenty of space inside to relax and cook a nice meal. We enjoyed having coffee outside looking at the water. Also enjoyed showing the kids stars at night.

Spring in Rockport

Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed the beautiful walks to the beach to watch the incredible Bay of Fundy in all her glory. We were visited by deer, porcupine and many birds at the Farmhouse. Great communication from host and we were 3 adults very comfortable in the space. Thank you.

Very nice, remote location with some sweet views of the Basin and not too far from Mt. Allison/Sackville. Be aware the last 5 km of road to get there are dirt roads with a tonne of serious potholes. Would suggest SUV only if you are renting a vehicle to get there.Dropped a star due to an incredible number of flies in house. Host sent property manager to put some flytape up but it was a constant battle to kill an enormous amount of flies. Was hard to sleep honestly even when the flies were not divebombing us due to the noise of them. Apparently, just the time of season, but had we been aware, we would never have booked. Probably should have asked for a partial refund, but All of us were a bit dragged out by sleep deprivation and spent most of our time away from the house.

Lovely cottage and as advertised. Well equipped kitchen, quirky upstairs layout but nothing our family couldn’t work with. Beautiful property with a nice walk to the cliffs and overgrown stairs to the beach. So quiet out there. Nice walks nearby too.

About the host

Hosted by Kelly Booth

Host profile image
I am a native New Brunswicker through and through and enjoy opening my door to anyone who wants to enjoy a cuppa and share some yarns. I host the way I would like to be hosted. Fresh linens, comfortable beds, beautiful views and lots of coffee. Throw in an interesting read or a fun movie for a rainy day and we're all set.

Why they chose this property

I grew up in this house and it has within in it many memories of my family and my childhood. It's history is long and my hope is that guests will bring a sense of a piece of our past and the beauty of this place wherever they go to next.

What makes this property unique

The property is sprawling and rough-hewn with native grasses and plants that invite wildlife to enjoy a moment of peace on their journeys. The wild eagles, gulls and birds are plentiful and change throughout the seasons. The Spring brings robins and swallows. The summer jays, hummingbirds, chickadees and finches. The fall wood peckers, pheasants, geese and swifts. The sandpipers are glorious, the deer love to graze in our fields and the porcupines are talkative all year long.

The beach is rocky but gorgeously rustic and the tides are high and strong.

The view from our front window is all I need most days to feel grounded and at peace in the world as I can monitor all the activity right from there,
