Rainbow Casita - A Classic Taos Adobe Home

This little adobe home has built in charm and warmth. The living room looks at the mountains and the dining table in the kitchen looks out over a field with trees and and paths to walk by a running stream.
The home is nestled down a little slope at the end of a gravel road and has the feeling of being away from everything. However, there are neighbors just a stone throw away. Each bedroom has its own workspace. The internet is fiber optic with 50 mbps.
The home owners have set their little home of 40 years up to share with others. The first bedroom is a king, the terrace room has a queen bed. There is a built in twin bed in the living room for extra sleeping options.
Although there is no dishwasher, there is a beautiful blue sink to wash your dishes. Since the owners use the home when ever they can, the cabinets are filled with spices and all you need to cook a great meal.
There are several good restaurants within a mile or so of this home.
This is a great little home to spend time relaxing and enjoying the area.

We were impressed with how well equipped the kitchen was. New gas stove and large table & chairs, It had everything we needed. The living room was roomy and the furniture was really comfortable. The view was very pretty from the living room windows and from the front deck. One thing we all impressed with was the unusual ceilings in the original part of the house.

Had a great stay at Rainbow Casita. To echo other reviews, this has a very private, cozy, quiet feel, with amazing views of the mountains. The house is rustic but comfortable, with a very authentic New Mexico vibe. Honestly, the only negative was that we happened to be there on an extremely hot summertime week which made the house very warm during the day (note there is no AC), but opening the windows and using fans supplied by the owner made it comfortable sleeping. I would guess it is very comfortable most of year. Easy 15 min. drive to most of Taos and just 5 minutes from Arroyo Seco. Like its name, we saw rainbows on several evenings - really just a beautiful. If you want a true relaxing experience, this a great place.

This wonderful home was surrounded by peace and beauty. The view of Taos Mt was so restorative. Everything was perfect with many special touches added to make us feel at home. Tea in the cupboard, landscaping, books on the shelves and very clean .

Great Adobe Experience!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful adobe! The mountain view is amazing and the house is very comfortable and well maintained. If you want a nice place to R&R, this is a great place! For Taos, you need a car because it is not located close to downtown (about 10 minutes away).

Taos Rental

Pros: Loved the location and feel of the house. Plenty of supplies in kitchen and bathroom to host small get-togethers. Cons: Water heater kept shutting off, not enough windows with screens to get airflow during this summer visit.
