About this property

The Workers Cottage, a lovingly restored historic home in Tenterfield

This charming retreat sits within a lush 2500sqm property, offering stunning park views and a serene escape while being a stone's throw from the heart of town. Originally a quaint Georgian cottage with just two rooms, The Workers Cottage was thoughtfully expanded during wartime. We adore our home and look forward to sharing it with you, hoping your stay will be both delightful and memorable.

The master bedroom has a queen bed, while the second bedroom features cosy twin beds. Both rooms have electric blankets to ensure a warm and restful night's sleep, along with plenty of blankets.

The bathroom has a clawfoot bath with a combined vintage shower. Additionally, there’s a washroom equipped with a washing machine, iron, and ironing board for your convenience.
The fully equipped kitchen seats four and features Smeg appliances, a new Breville coffee machine, dishwasher and other essentials.

In the living room, you’ll find an open fire, a plush sofa, and two comfy armchairs, perfect for relaxing with a good book or a glass of wine. The large hallway has a wood fire for added warmth. If you enjoy music, there’s a piano waiting for you to play.

The master bedroom and living room both have air conditioning, for heating and cooling. Both bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans. We have several heaters available for use during the wintertime.

Outside, you’ll find a classic Hills Hoist for drying clothes in the fresh air. The verandah is an idyllic spot to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, whether you’re sipping your morning coffee or unwinding in the evening. There’s also plenty of space for parking on-site.

Enjoy the tranquility of nature with stunning park views, while being just a short stroll away from the vibrant main street of Tenterfield.

Wonderful home within easy walking distance to town, shops, museums and food. Warm inside with heaters and electric blankets on cold winters nights. Well stocked with breakfast treats provided. Fantastic place to stay. Tenterfield was also a very friendly place to stay with good advice from local shop owners, restaurant staff and museum staff as to where to go and what to see. Wonderful weekend away.

Cozy home vibes

Had a wonderful experience staying at Julia and Sean’s property, the location was great just minutes away from the town park and Saturday markets. The kitchen was modern while house preserved the old times charm of the original house. We had a wonderful time and will definitely book again for more than 3 nights! Host communication was great and replied timely!

A lovely period house as advertised. The accommodation is very homely and comfortable & situated across from a beautiful park within walking distance of town. Oscar the possum made a short, friendly visit (outside) one night.
