The farmhouse brought so much old charm as my grandparents home. We had a little situation with the electricity going out because of a storm and rhe owners were very helpful.

Very tranquil and relaxing farm house where our family could gather both inside or outside. The kitchen was exceptionally stocked, very user friendly. Our host provided snacks, coffee and was always available for any questions. She even offered several suggestions. While we were there, the power company sent a notice to the host about a planned power outage from 12a-2a. She was very quick to let us know about that, and asked if there was anything we might need. Plenty of games for our gatherings made this a very enjoyable trip. We had family meet from Ohio, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas. This was exactly what we hoped we would find.

The house was wonderful and very comfortable. The only issue may have been the steep stairs going upstairs for elderly or young people, but we made it work and love staying there. We’ll probably stay there again when we come back to Chanute.

The host truly thought of just about everything. There were snacks, a friendly note, a coffee/tea bar and toys our two year old to play with. We loved sitting out by the fire pit enjoying the spectacular view of the field especially during sunrise and sunset. We brought both of our dogs with us and they enjoyed watching the cows as much as we did. The house was very clean and the beds were comfy. It very much had a home away from home feel.
