About this property

Glamping tents overlooking a 70 acre lake

Come and experience "glamping" or glamorous camping on our property in South Ga. Our tents sleep 5-7 people with full bathrooms including endless hot water showers, toilet and vanity. We also have mini refrigerators and grills where you can cook. Each tent has a 10 x 16 deck for hanging out. There are also walking trails, jon boats you can rent, skeet shooting you can book and other activities on property to choose from.

We rent out this property to large groups (up to 40) usually but offer on certain weekends to rent out just the glamping tents for smaller groups. Also see our larger property listing at vrbo/717114.

Amazing and unique!

Upon our arrival we were contacted by one of the owners and part of the Stange family Jed. He welcomed us and answered all of the questions we had before getting to our glamping tent. When we arrived the tent was not just clean but emaculate! The tent came with all needed amenities...mini refrigerator, kuerig coffee maker, full bathroom with HOT showers, air conditioning/ heaters and beds that I am pretty sure were memory foam😁. The tents are located on a beautiful lake and a short walk away there is a boat house with a huge commercial kitchen, tv, WiFi , volleyball court, canoes and swimming/fishing area this area that is to be shared with other guests. There is also a walking/biking trail around the whole lake for those who enjoy exploring! I will warn you of one thing the towns surrounding the farm are small so bring your own food to cook unless you want to eat at Waffle House or McDonald’s but other then that it was beautiful, quiet and a very unique alternative to “roughing it” camping! Would go back again!

Everything I hoped it'd be and more!

Okay, I don't know about you - but the thought of camping sometimes stresses me out. I'm all about going outdoors and enjoying nature, but sometimes I want to do that and make sure I get a good night's sleep! Is a warm shower too much to ask for? Recently, a group of friends and I went to Strange Farms and stayed in these fully heated/air conditioned glamping tents. It was cool during the day, and yet at night the beds we slept in were actually more comfortable than my bed at home! The sheets and blankets are new and nice, and we were there in the winter, so it got a bit chilly in the mornings and night. However, the electric blanket on each bed was a real plus! The bathrooms were clean, the shower pressure was powerful. Our group brought our own drinks and some food and utilized the refrigerator. Jed (the property owner) even has Keurigs to make coffee in the AM. A grill is supplied to cookout whatever you bring. There's nothing like throwing up an eno, exploring the property, getting some good reading in and disconnecting! Can't recommend this enough for groups of friends looking to get away or families wanting to connect together. Jed and Faith (the property manager) will take great care of you...and if you're willing to spend a few extra bucks, take advantage of the additional activities onsite! www.strangefarms.com shows more that the property has to offer for you and your friends. Enjoy!!
