It was a very nice getaway for my partner and I. The beach house was a nice size for the two of us. It’s very close to a lot of fun things in cobourg and Brighton. Such a stunning view as well!

Shower was dirty, 3 towels for 3 nights with a family of 4. Not enought, no place for garbage we were ask to take our garbage with us at the end. Stained sheet, sheet protectors also stained so we go buy new own sheet.

We were disappointed in our stay at the cottage. The toilet does not work, and there are no doors, just plastic dividers. The lockbox with the key was also challenging to locate as the check in information was not very descriptive. The heating system was also challenging to figure out. The description did not include that linens were not available at this cottage, and we received a message a few days before the booking that we would need to provide our own towels and linens. The cottage was right on the lake which was beautiful but the description and photos did not match the reality of the cottage, and was not appropriate for the price.

We expected the water in lake Ontario at the back of the cottage to be cold; but a sandy bottom meant a quite comfortable temperature. There's a provincial park just down the side road that runs by the front of the yeard, and an excellent coffee bar 8 minutes away in Colborne East. The cottage has decent internet and a largish TV (we watched a series over a couple of nights) . Bbq worked properly. The back deck has a railing but no guarding bars or glass, so adults and older kids are fine but not suitable/ safe for very young children. Definitely recommend the for a vacation.
