It is great location right next to big kirk and bus #8. Bed was ccomfortable. I really want to give 5stars but cleaness is too lacking. There's none for my 6night stay.

Host is accommodative. We arrived early morning but host was kind enough to let us check in. Room was good and clean.. close to dining, tour pick up locations and shopping. Local restaurant called Loki (highly recommended) is just in front of the apartment. Only thing was shower water was not controlled sometimes get too hot and sometimes too cold. May be it is a common issue in this area.

An amazing stay. The apartment is located very central, within viewing distance of the church, a short 10 minute walk to the main bus terminal from which most transfers to the airport operate. The area is very cozy, quiet and safe. Easy to locate and very straight forward instructions on how to get access the property. The apartment is quite small, but has all the amenities required, a small fridge, microwave and it's own bathroom. There isn't much room inside, but you shouldn't be spending much time inside, Iceland is so beautiful and you should be exploring. I couldn't recommend the apartment more, for the value it's a no-brainer. Thankyou for the stay

I would consider this more of a hostel than a hotel. The common areas (entry, halls, stairwells) looked very sketchy - as soon as I walked into the building, I considered cancelling my booking. However, the room was okay. It had what I needed, was clean enough. The water smells kind of like sulphur. The location is great for walking around Reykjavik and driving out of the city. Free parking a short walk away. If they cleaned up the entrance and slapped on a coat of paint, it might even warrant another half star.

Fire alarm went off first morning I was there. No response at all from the staff or the fire department until a guest called. No daily cleaning service, and service between guests was mediocre.

No Heat

the room is small and the sink area had a leak so it would fall on our food and had to find in the small space a diff spot to prepare food. The room had no heat and how can you not realize there is no heat when the country is so cold and this would be the first thing you check. The bathroom is not made for a normal human to be able to fit in. It was very uncomfortable to get in even for my relative that is barely 5ft. The owner never got back to me when I placed my concern.

There are kids that sit under your windows all night and yell all night, the apartment was way way too expensive for being a dorm style room after staying in beautiful apartments the same price prior. The smell was not good. Best part was the bed it was comfy. I had to close windows because it was so loud with loitering that caused it to be very hot in the room. The fridge was also one other perk.

This was the perfect location of you're looking to explore Reykjavik and shop. Our studio was small and quaint. We enjoyed the room, though it felt crowded. If you're not planning on staying in much, you're probably fine. There was everything you needed to make a meal, coffee or tea in the morning, and bathe. I was able to make s few full meals for me and my husband. That was great and saved money. The only downside was, I didn't like that you could hear all the neighbors or that the shower was so tiny and there was no exhaust fan. Parking was also difficult.

The good things: Central location in the heart of Reykjavik. The bad things (lots!) Awful smell / stench in the entire building (a plumbing issue?). Much smaller than the pictures disclose. Kitchenette / small kitchen is a fridge, a microwave, a sink, a kettle, and a single electric heater/burner. The latter is useless because there were no pots or pans to cook with (some shown on the pictures though). Property management is totally unresponsive. I contacted them by email (their preferred and only method of communication per welcome message) about the missing pots and pans but never heard back. Also, most of the plates and bowls were dirty and one bedside lamp was broken and could not be adjusted.

Would recommend - ideal location!

Lovely room at a good price, providing good value. Easy self-checkin experience without any problems. Brilliant location. Nice interior decor and comfortable, spacious beds. The only downsides were that the bathroom was quite cramped, although not a major problem. Also, there were some issues with cleanliness on arrival - importantly, the bedding and towels were clean. However, there were food remnants in the sink, some hairs on the bathroom wall, and drains were blocked. I did email the host to advise them, and they responded very quickly and were really apologetic. They bought us chocolate to apologise and offered to provide an extra clean. Great communication, and overall really good value.
