We stayed in an oceanview room with kitchenette, 2 balconies. Very clean. Great location close to shops and bus stop. Daily breakfast was a great assortment and cooked to order eggs. Will stay again.

Solid 3 star

It is a solid residence which we are returning to for another 5 nights. There is space, a swimming pool, amd fine buffet dinners for 17 Euros pp. We did not encounter any cleanliness problems.

Good quality accommodation at an excellent price. It’s not the Ritz but the room we had was comfortable and had a pleasant sea view. The breakfast was included and was very good. There are many restaurants nearby and it’s also on a main bus route with the centre of Funchal less than 10 minutes away. If you are looking for a comfortable budget stay on this wonderful island this could be for you.

Really enjoyed my stay with my son. The room had loads of space and the kitchen had enough utensils to prepare breakfast and basic meals. The buffer dinner was quite nice probably one of the best I have in holiday hotels! The hotel is not far from Funchal town 20-30mins walk or easy access via a buse journey. There is plenty around the hotel to keep you in the hotel neighbourhood, just go and explore! The staff was very friendly and happy to help when solicited.

Booked a room with a side sea view and got a room at the back of the hotel with no view of the sea. The smallezt balcony off the bedroom and just a window in the lounge which was very dark and like a cell. Went to recetion and although pleasant could not offer us a different room. Glad they didnt have a weeks availibilry and now in The Girassol. Much nicer for the same money

This 3 star hotel ticked all the boxes for us. Although the corridors seemed a little old fashioned and the bathroom was an old design (navy blue tiles, so seemed dark) everything was clean and functional. Buffet breakfast was first class and the themed evening meals (buffet style again)were great and good value for money. Rooms cleaned daily. The bed was a little hard (but that would be my preference). There was plenty of space in the apartment and room to hang clothes up and store suitcases. Nice balcony with 2 chairs and table. All staff friendly and helpful. The only thing I could have done with was another pillow and a smaller towel for drying my hair. Would recommend!
