Good location & breakfast

Good location and nice cooked breakfast. Booked for a cheap get a way within walking distance however sprung a £10 charge for parking on me in addition for using their car park which I couldn’t find mentioned anywhere although tbf still cheaper than pay & displays in York. Hosts & staff friendly maybe a bit dated but it does have character.

Happy traveller

A late booking ahead of a 8:30 pm arrival. Excellent service provided over the phone, followed up with text and email to make sure that I’d received instructions of how to access the hotel and my room. A comfortable night’s sleep. Easy walk to city Centre.

We enjoyed our stay for one night. The room was clean but the bed and pillows were a bit lumpy! Bathroom was clean and adequate. Breakfast was very good and parking was easy at the back of the hotel. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely stay would go back

Lovely stay, staff very friendly and room had everything we need. Easy to check in and onsite parking behind the hotel easy enough to find. Close enough to the city to be a nice walk, we did it every day, the one tome the weather was bad it was only £8 in a black cab. Only niggle would be parking was £10 per night for a car park the hotel seemed to own which seemed expensive.

Exactly what I was looking for

Great service. Breakfast was impeccable with only a short walk to the city centre. Could use a spruce up in the bathroom but other than that ideal!

We were in the roof space room which was 3 flights of stairs which wasnt an issue for us but could be for some . Room needed a bit of tlc but spotlessly clean. Staff helpful and breakfast excellent. Good location for town. Would def stay again

Lovely size room. Bed was very comfy. Staff attentive. Cleaning cloth left under throw on bed. Window frame filthy and thick with dust. Bathroom very clean but door would not shut properly. Excellent breakfast.

Two nights Reasonably easy walk to everything in the city ( we’re one disabled and the other recovering from a broken ankle, so really can’t be that long. Great room with comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom. Parking round the back does have a reasonable charge. What was best and will mean many return visits, was the amazing staff. Especially the two lads running breakfast. Great for a chat, fantastic food and couldn’t do enough for you. Thanks everyone

Bed was very uncomfortable- massive dip in the middle of the bed. And more Could t sleep v much unfortunately. Spacious room and the bathroom was decent. All v clean. But wouldnt stay again as I went there to get some sleep- and got hardly any.

Heating in room wasn’t working. We mentioned it at reception and were told it would be nice and warm when we returned later. It wasn’t. It finally came on in the morning but even then it was barely luke warm. The mattress on the bed was hard and lumpy. No mention of the £10 parking charge upon booking either

We stayed 2 nights on a short break to York on a budget. It was about a 15 min walk into the center of York which was perfect for us and a 10 min walk to Delrio's Italian restaurant which we would highly recommend The property was clean and the staff were pleasant. It is worth noting that there is an an extra £10.00 a day charge for parking which is highlighted when booking and is a fraction of the cost of the public carpark charges
