Low cost camp-style accommodations. Very basic but safe with helpful staff. Decent value for the money.

This spot is beautiful, clean, and just what you need for a camping experience. We stayed in the A-frame cabin, which was lovely! You may want to bring your own bedding and pillows (although they did provide linens, pillows, and blankets), for extra comfort. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the location is gorgeous! Thanks for a relaxing stay!

It was an amazing experience. As it was the starting of summer, my cottage was a little cold at night. But I believe it’s very normal; just I was not prepared. Definitely gonna recommend this place to my FnF.

We arrived after a long day and were turned away due to the power being turned off. No one was at the office - we had to shout around for 20 mins before someone helped us and then we were told we couldn’t stay unless we payed cash.

It was very nice and quiet was a little disappointing at first as the ad didn’t state there was two lofts the one I booked we didn’t get, but the loft with cottage the second one we got, the view was excellent and we loved it. Just wish the ad stated both is all. But definitely loved the stay the management and customer service is excellent! Very nice camping ground !

We stayed in one of the cabins for 2 nights on our Nova scotia road trip! It was absolutely beautiful and cozy! The cabin had a deck with table and chairs over looking the bear river. The cabins do not have plumbing but the showers and toilets are very close. We found the beds and pillows very comfortable. The managment was great! Check in was easy and she was very accommodating. She helped us get set up and even had a few outdoor games for my daughter to play with. I would definitely camp here again!

You pay way too much for a cheap cabin that is just camping. Bathrooms and showers are in other buildings. Bed not very comfortable

Rushing the season!

The cabins were adorable, and I loved the design. In the summer (or a warmer April) the stay would have been fine. This April, however, the heaters were unable to keep up with the freezing temperatures. Bob was great and very understanding. I would definitely stay there again in warmer weather. There were plenty of blankets to stay warm at night, but it was just too cold this year to be comfortable in the room. Bob did offer to put us up in a house he has, but we declined.

This was a really quiet little place tucked away down by the river. It looks like they’re in the middle of doing some big improvements on the property, but right now it’s a bit of a mess. I stayed in one of the old cabins which was very rustic, which is fine, but it needed a deep clean and some repairs. It was pretty clear the floor hasn’t been swept or washed for a long time and there were spider webs in the corners and on the ceiling above the bed. Everything looked like it was from the 60s. A good clean and since updating would go a long way because it’s otherwise a beautiful little spot to enjoy.

When we arrived for the check in we’ve been informed that the cabin had no running water nor toilet.Once in the cabin which is a hunting shack basically we notice many cracks in the walls and floor where we could see outside. There was no bedding except old blankets in very poor condition «  the kind you use to cover the floor when you paint « We checked the mattress to see for bed bugs and found some. After asking the owners to come and see which they both did. The man brushed em off saying it was only dust and asking us if we were really that picky. We asked to be reimbursed but they refused and told us it was whether what we had or to leave. We also have been downgraded because it wasn’t what we rented for our two days stay. Long story short. Very poor customer service and bad sanitary condition of the cabin, especially where it really matters. El: general cleanliness or good sanitary condition

Wonderful quiet camp on Bear River

We had an amazing 1 night stay. Arrived past check in time and communicated via phone and email approximate time of arrival. Was not a problem for Cathy. We were greeted by the kindest and friendliest staff. The little cabin was ok for my husband, teen daughter and myself. I would reserve a larger cabin on the water or awesome Domes they have next time. Soon a ship will be avaliable as well,Excellent, clean bathrooms close to our unit. There are more washrooms and showers close by as well. Office/store had camp wood, snacks, supplies and activities if needed.

We did not get the cottage we booked via Expedia. The owner explained the she didn’t get notice. She was really nice and gave us one obviously not ready for living yet: the door cannot lock and with holes, worms on the bed … The owner did provide sheet etc. that was really good since we didn’t know. Not sure who to blame? Expedia?
