Excellent for families, close to beach great staff

We Only stayed for 2 nights and wished we stayed longer. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival - always a plus! The resort itself was beautiful and clean. The room spacious and clean. The kids loved sleeping in the loft. the main bed was a little too soft for my hubby but i thought it was comfort. The pool was inviting. We had a small roof top jacuzzi which was a lovely treat especially in the evening. The bathroom had great water pressure and was nicely styled - even with kid sized robes - love that attention to detail. Now the location was perfect - such a short walk to the Kamari beach. There was a public bus stop super close that took us into Fira. Constantina and Anastasia were truly wonderful. They made use aware of all the features of the resort - gym, spa, sauna and showers to use if we needed to check out of our room but still had time for our transfer. They also were wonderful in finding an excellent driver/guide who took us area some sites of our choosing and he suggested for 4 hrs. Constantina and Anastasia certainly made our stay more enjoyable. Oh and how could I forget - the breakfast buffet was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return and plan to!!

Wonderful stay with helpful staff

The staff was so helpful and kind. Gary was the most helpful in helping us finding all the good restaurants and thinga to do on the island. The staff was always there to help with anything we needed. When we return to santorini we will come back for sure

Our flight was cancelled and we needed a room close to airport for early flight. We booked this room online. Room was very dated, AC did not cool the room. We were in a family suite. Bathroom was very dated. Staff was super helpful and great.

The rating is correct. I was a little apprehensive about staying here as it looked below the standard of our normal type of hotel. However, it is more than made up for by the friendliness of the staff and the relaxed environment. Our room exceeded expectations with a jacuzzi and sun beds on the roof as well as a balcony overlooking the pool. Nice touches like a bottle of wine on arrival and sweets for the kids. So, not a 5* hotel (nor does it claim to be) but a very welcome surprise!

Great service and excellent location. Right next to the beach and board walk. AC is a problem as it only operates when ur in the room with all the doors closed . Hot days can get a bit uncomfortable. But the service of the staff was great!!!

Tamarix foi uma excelente escolha! Foi tudo perfeito, do inicio ao fim os quartos são muito espaçosos e atendem muito bem a famílias. Ficamos numa quarto com mini cozinha, varanda e jacuzzi. Funcionários muito cordiais e prestativos. A área da piscina é muito agradável. Fica muito próximo à praia Kamari (tem pedras, venha com sapatos adequados), que possui bastante estrutura de restaurantes e lojas. Recomendo muito! Voltaria com certeza!

Tamarix was perfect. Big villas, great staff, bar, wonderful buffet breakfast, large pool, some villas have hot tubs. The property is surrounded by restaurants but is in a side street so is not on the busy and loud tourist street. A 2 minute walk to the beach. We loved it so much we were planning to go back before we had even checked out!!!

The Tamarix is a beautiful quant small property, quite unlike typical western hotels. It feels like a home. The staff was exceptional. The beach is within walking distance as are several great restaurants. It was our first visit to Santorini. This hotel is in Kamari which does not look like the picture postcards of Santorini. For that, one would have to stay in Oia - but would likely have to put up with huge crowds especially during tourist season. So if one wanted to avoid that, Kamari is a great choice.

The location of the property is truly amazing. Everything we were looking for was available within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent and they changed the menu everyday. We are looking forward to going back. It is a gem of a place to be.
