Athens stopover

A beautiful place to stay near the airport for a relaxing night we had prior to catching our flight the next day. Dinner was great and breakfast was what we needed to get us on our way. All-in-all a fabulous short stay!

We arrived in the day so had no problems finding our way there and there are signboards along the way.. if you are coming in the night then best to take up theur offer of a pick up as you will definitely get lost. We had a triple room with a master bed in the ground floor and 2 single beds in the loft above us. It was quite quaint and as it was still cold was not a problem.. but wonder if the loft will get stuffy during summer. The bathroom was of good size but there is no lock on the door. We ordered dinner and it tasted home made and quite different from the hotel fare. We also ordered breakfast and it was adequate but can I recommend adding some fresh fruit too. The host was very nice and helpful and offered to do our laundry at a very small cost which we really appreciated. Very close to airport so good place to stay if u want to be close to it.

Close to airport and great service.

We arranged for pick up from the airport. It was perfectly arranged and had no trouble finding the driver. We really had bad experience with taxis in Athens so it was good that there was no trouble with the transport.

Cozy Country Home

We were greeted by the owner and given a great room. We had some snacks and wine served prior to dinner. It was a perfect end to our cruise. We met another couple as we both were on our honeymoons. It was so nice.

A marvelous place to stay

Our state the Verba country house was amazing! This is a hidden gem. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It is a wonderful place to stay. The owner is wonderful, and the room was very clean and comfortable. It was modern and up-to-date. A wonderful place to stay! And so close to the airport!

It is really a country house. No shops in walking distance. No bedside rugs on concrete floor. No bathroom mat. The place was quiet. The taxi was on time for the airport. Close to the airport. Attentive and friendly staff.

The owners of this accommodation were first rate. Communication was excellent and ultra friendly. They arranged transport to and from the airport which was very punctual and at a resonable cost. Highly recommended.

Mostly good except another guest was outside on his phone till 3am next to my room. The handheld shower did not work in my shower and there was smoking in my room previously so the smell lingered

What a lovely place! Used the shuttle service- was a bit expensive but worth it! Easy and safe, we felt taken care of. We got in early enough for dinner, which had a fee, but was also worth it, and delicious. Breakfest was light and perfect start to the day. We stayed one night, also they had cats and a dog on property, made it so cozy.

I had a 7 hr layover in Athens, booked Varaba, and was delighted with the sweet homey family atmosphere. No dinner but with a menu they ordered it in for me. Met a lovely Canadian family in the open eating courtyard. Felt so well taken care of, when I was exhausted.

The property was a big surprise because it was it a rural, agriculture area. It was an old farm house, converted guest house. The rooms were wonderful as was the open space and the airy dining room. We had dinner cooked by the owner, Claudine, super tasty. The garden very restful with outdoor furniture for relaxing.

Such a great stay by the airport! There isn’t much around the stay but that doesn’t matter when the host is making you a home made meal with local ingredients. So tasty! Would love to go back
