The place is under new management who offered a warm welcome, a clean room, done up the place as best they could. The place still has a few issues from being taken over eg shower not draining well and a new mattress due but the new team are trying hard to make a go of it and are trying to make good.
Our stay here was truely wonderful. The pub and family atmosphere combined with a huge breakfast to start the day was great . The owners Shaun and his wife made the weekend truely memorable. They could not do enough to make our stay really special. Thank you both from the Thornton family.

Okay stay - welcoming hosts
The hotel/ pub has not long been taken over by a lovely couple who are very hospitable and welcoming. The couple are in the process of upgrading the furnishings/paintwork but this is a basic hotel/ pub geared towards workmen.
