Prior to our booking and arrival, the manager, Timothy, was very helpful and responded promptly to our queries. Upon arrival, the team of Joanne and William was very hospitable, friendly and helpful. They were the sunshine of our stay. The apartment was spacious and its location was great for us. Some parts are old like the bedroom door could not close properly, the curtains are a bit broken and worst of all, very low water pressure and temperamental water temperature in the showers. But all the above were bearable given we were not exactly paying for 5-star accommodation. What was not bearable and would make us hesitate returning is the NOISE. The building is built such that people talking in the courtyard would reverberate loudly in the whole compound and during our stay, there were some loud neighbours and parties. We suffered sleepless nights during more than half of our stay.

We had a great time at the Spires. Highly recommend if you are looking for accommodation near to restaurants, shopping, etc. Great for families if you need separate rooms.

No hot water on day one, needed to wait an hour to get any hot water Radiator in main sitting area not work/ kept turning off throughout entire stay and no manual next to the radiator to figure it out in cold climate Balcony windows were locked so no access to fresh air

Very good stay. The instructions to enter the building and on-site parking were clear and worked perfectly. The location is great for centre of Birmingham attractions and events.

No communication about out of hours check in

I haven't received out of hours check in information, and emails sent to me had invalid links. The phone no is incorrect on hotels site, and no response was received via the chat. As a result, when I came to check in, I had no key to enter, and had to book another room last minute. I still haven't had my money back for this, and no effort was made to rectify this issue.

The door lock was not working so i had to stay in for about half hour before i cousl lock my room to leave to go and meet snd my family for dinner as all my stuff was in the room. As i checked in baring in my mind we were a family if 4. We had no towels in our room and as it was a subday reception was closed and i got lucky and found a cleaner just before her shift was finishing. Or i would have no one to give me towels. The bathroom ensuite was mouldy snd thr hooks on the doors were broken and was not able to hang my towel anywhere. The water was running hold and cold. This is a common problem as i have stayed here previously. Overall really disappointed with this stay. Not got what i paid for and will not be staying here again.

Check-in時沒有reception員工接待(我於4pm左右到達),還好事前有電郵指示如何自行入住。 第2天想向員工領取到時卷廁紙,員工態度感覺並不友善。 熱到方面,水壓不足,熱水時熱時凍,第2晚直頭沒有熱水,研究一輪後自行重開熱水爐才能有熱到,但依然時熱時凍。

Huge space and the lady on Reception was friendly. Comfortable bed and excellent shower. But the actual fixture and fittings were quite old and scruffy. But in terms of value, no complaints.
