Sound proofing of room not very good, can hear sound of firecrackers and traffics at night during week of Deepavali. Room is clean and spacious, there is also water dispenser on every floor. Lots of dinning and grocery options available nearby.

Concierge service was good, very friendly and helpful. Suite was big and nice to stay in. Would be better if rooms were more soundproof as it can be pretty noisy from cars and even neighbours. Gym was pretty disappointing so don’t expect to use the gym. Other than that, was okay~

Generally a very pleasant comfortable stay. However some things not fixed in the room - one of the bedside lights had no wire to it and therefore could not be switched on. the room safe handle was broken and it could not be locked even though instructions were followed, something wrong with the digital mechanism. Even though the hotel was informed nothing was done to fix it.

Good room marred by faulty toilet

Good location. Spacious room with wide living area. Unfortunately toilet seat kept falling off despite us asking them to fix it. Only temporary band-aid solution done. Problem persisted throughout our stay.

Short Grab Distance away from City Center

Friendly front desk, quiet neighborhood. There is a night market along the same street of the hotel, lots of variety food to try out. The room is clean and nicely spaced out. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Unprofessional staff. Asked about availabity of metered taxi and staff offered to call one. Turned out it is a call taxi where driver refused to turn on meter and wanted 18myr for a ride that was 8myr by grab. Asked about pop up market and staff said no such thing. We found it ourselves. No wardrobes in master bedroom except a bed n bedside tables No late checkout. Chargable after noon. Noise from upstairs and next room.

Pros: 1) the staff were friendly and really willing to help 2) the room was huge, akin to a apartment. 3) room had quite some facilities (microwave oven, a sizeable fridge, a tv, sofa, and some cutleries. Didn’t have a induction cooker so probably have to bring your own if you’re intending to cook) 4) bed was huge and comfy 5) there’s two 24 hour convenience mart beside the building and a small food place so u can get your fix nearby 6) the place is relatively safe as it requires your hotel card to access the particular level Cons: 1) the suite is situated in between two cemeteries so if you’re superstitious, do take note (didn’t affect us though) 2) the location is quite a distance away from Georgetown (you have to take a bus/ride share services to other places)

Awesome stay at Tropics Eight!

We truly enjoyed staying at Tropics Eight! The family suite is huge and clean. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Going around town is very convenient. 5-10mins to Gurney Plaza/Paragon and 10-15mins to Komtar! They even have promo code for Grab user! Anyway, since we are facing the main road, it can be quite noisy at night but overall it was an enjoyable stay! Will definitely recommend my family and friends to this hotel! :)
