The hotel is excellent and its location is in walking distance to many good restaurants, bars, and cafes. It is also less than five minutes to a netted beach which is ideal for a swim. I would highly recommend his hotel to anyone!!

We had an awesome stay at Shantara Port Douglas! The quiet, adults-only ambience made it the perfect place to relax, recharge, and unwind. The pools were fantastic—beautifully maintained and ideal for spending lazy afternoons. The location is spot on, with everything within easy walking distance, making it easy to explore Port Douglas without needing the car. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with great facilities and excellent service, Shantara Port Douglas is a fantastic choice. We can't wait to come back!

Great direct access to the pool from our room. Five minute walk to the main high street and your choice of plenty of fabulous restaurants. Room was clean, but a little tired. Good facilities in the room, but more space had been given over to the kitchenette, than space for suitcases or anywhere to put your clothes - so we were unable to fully unpack our small suitcases. Reception team were very good - helpful with answering any questions and booking transfers for us, even before our arrival- thank you!
