Residence La Contessina, Florence

Booked a 3 nights stay at Residence La Contessina in Florence. We were allocated room number 230 which has a bedroom and a living room with a single bed. The room is located at the ground floor of the courtyard and is the only one, the rest of the rooms are in the first floor of the buildings which the hotel shares with the residents there. The room is large and spacious with decent WiFi connection. The room is clean and has all the basic amenities. Breakfast buffet style is served at the basement of the main building. The spread is decent and delicious, definitely good for starting the day. The hotel is family run, the boss and staffs are friendly and always with a ready smile or greetings. As we had an early train to catch on the last day and did not realize the breakfast starts only at 7.30am, the boss was kind enough to let us in for early breakfast. This is good service. The hotel is located near the Firenze SMN main train station, only about 5 mins away and also within walking distance to all the attractions in Florence. I certainly will recommend this hotel and will be back if I do come Florence again. Wonderful stay. There is a nice market and eatery place near the hotel. Is called the Mercato Centrale. The eatery is a place with many different stalls selling a variety of food, so you have more choices. By the way, the tap water is potable in Florence .

Great. Helpful reception staff, thoughtful, presented us with a small token for our honeymoon stay. Spacious room. Only drawback is negotiating the parking lot is difficult, and bed is on different level from washroom (but this wasn't a problem for us). Very central location

Great Location. Great service. Great breakfast!

The location was superb. Minutes away from the train station and the city centre. Great amenities around. Was totally fantastic. In addition, the staff was amazing helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. Comfortable bed. And of course, the breakfast was lovely. I will definitely stay here again and recommends this hotel to everyone.

close to sights and railway station

Good Points: Location is good Just a street away from the station plus walking distance to main attractions. Bad Points: We stayed at the room behind the reception, so it was rather nosiy with people moving their luggage or talking. The staircase in the room is sqeaky, hence going to the toilet in the middle of the night might disturb others in their sleep. Toilet is big but the shower area is small. Might stay again for its location.

Great stay

This place is really homey.. Friendly staff And great ambience. Very convenient as it's near a supermarket, the train station, a good Chinese restaurant ard the corner and near the impt sites.

Sobrevalorada en las paginas de reserva.extremadamente ruidosa.permiten ruidos durante toda la noche,aparte de estar mal aislada, turistas haciendo ruido hasta mas de la de 1 de la mañ y las 5.30 de la mañana otra vez.no hay recepcion entre las 19.00 pm y las 09.00 am,cuando avisas de los ruidos por la mañana solo te piden disculpas.sin poder dormir la mitad de nuestra estancia.averia en caldera y sin agua caliente durante un dia.mala experiencia

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questa struttura (famiglia di 4 persone), in camera con letto matrimoniale e 2 divani letto singoli. La posizione è perfetta per una visita alla città, a 5 minuti a piedi dal Duomo e da Santa Maria Novella. Altro aspetto super positivo la gentilezza e la disponibilità dello staff sia via email prima del nostro arrivo che di persona, inviandoci tutte le informazioni necessarie per raggiungere la struttura senza problemi. Abbiamo inoltre usufruito del parcheggio interno a pagamento. Di negativo il cattivo odore in camera, probabilmente dal climatizzatore, abbiamo arieggiato più volte la stanza per qualche minuto, purtroppo l’odore che saliva dalla strada a causa dei locali sui quali la camera si affacciava non era comunque dei migliori, e l’odore cattivo continuava ad essere presente. Sempre per la posizione della camera lato strada, i rumori provenienti dalla strada sia di notte che di mattina presto erano un po’ fastidiosi. Nonostante questo la nostra opinione rimane assolutamente positiva e ci soggiorneremmo di nuovo volentieri se tornassimo a Firenze.

Great little apartment complex tucked away but still close/walking distance to the centre/main attractions. Apartment came with a kitchenette (though this wasn't included in our booking) and second bed and lounge area on a mezzanine.

The property was very well located and walkable to all the major sites. Check in was seemless and front desk staff was very helpful. The room was a little dated but as an apartment it had a full kitchen and a separate loft bedroom for my daughter. great choice of hotel for a very reasonable price. i would stay there again.
