Really liked that the room given was huge for the price we paid! Location was great too. It was clean and modern. Only gripe is the toilet was slightly worn and thus lacked a warm restful atmosphere

I was very pleased with a fully equipped kitchenette. Front desk was very fast and excellent. I wasnt too pleased with the once a week housekeeping of changing bedsheets. I would prefer at least on alternate days. Washing machine dryer wasnt working. Had to hang clothes to dry.

Really enjoyed the stay! Would recommend! In close proximity to convenience store and also public transport - tram, metro and bus services. Friendly staff! Would come back again to this cozy apartment if i were to come back to Melbourne for another holiday. Thumbs up!

Very spacious room at heart of the Melbourne

We stayed here 3 nights with family. The hotel is at the heart of the city with all amenities nearby. There is a super market just down the hotel. Hence we didn’t find any difficulties during cold weather. Really enjoyed the city view and room facilities.

Nice location and friendly staff

Apart from the good location, this apartment is lacking in so many areas. I find a lack in communication among the housekeeping staff and reception. The heater in the first room was not working and it took three days for them to rectify it by changing us to a new room. This was despite us informing the housekeeper on the first day (and her telling us that she will let the reception people know), the night shift reception staff, on the second night, who then said that he will inform maintenance the next morning, until finally we had to call again on the third day before something was finally done. The housekeeping on our last day was also very task oriented and although we had already told the reception the day before for a late checkout at 11am, he could still come and knock our door at 1020am to ask us what time are we going out when we were still in the midst of final preparation to leave. This was really unnecessary. Finally, security in that place seems lax. Although the lifts requires a card key to get to your level, this system doesn't seem to be working as I was still able to go to my floor without the need of the room card key. In addition, the lack of a peephole on the door makes it worse. However, credit needs to be given where it's due, the staff were really approachable and were ready to help us in whatever way they could.

Nice hotel

Chosen this hotel as my daughter is staying at unilodge on lonsdale which is nxt to it. Room is clean and comfortable. The area is quite quiet although its located near Chinatown. Will stay here again when i visit my daughter.

The service apartment has the basic facilities, however, the bed is a little too hard and uncomfortable. Heating is inadequate in the bedrooms and living room furniture requires upgrading soon. Apartment from that, there is no wow factor except for its great location.

A good and decent accomodation

Generally a decent hotel with good service and cleanliness. It has a good location. It takes about 10-15 minutes walk to Swanstown Street and Victoria Market. Just remember to read the instructions on the washing machine carefully as we had a bad experience with it! Overall a good choice of accommodation!

Great location

Although the hotel amenities is less than satisfactory, its fantastic location is a huge draw to revisit the hotel. Oaks at Lonsdale is just about 5 minutes away from Chinatown, 3 minutes to the major theaters and 2 minutes from the Parliament station. It is a short walk to the Melbourne museum and Fitzroy street, and the major shopping area is just 3 blocks away. Most importantly, city circle tram is just a stone throw away to hop on and off to all the major attractions in the city.
