Found A Great Place

Spacious comfortable room with a balcony, and a clean, well equipped kitchenette, as well as full amenities. Safe quiet suburb conveniently located - about 15 min slow walk to town, or a few min walk to the free Spring Hill loop bus-stop; Spring Hill Woolworths is also within walking distance. We arrived very early - big kudos to the staff who were flexible enough to let us do an early check-in.

Great hotel, conveniently close to the city

We were greeted by super friendly staff (thanks Maddie - hope we got the name right) upon our arrival. We stayed for a week and half with no issues, we needed a place to rest after exploring the city and Punthill definitely gave us the comfort of home during our holiday.

Room smells of cooking oil and fried eggs!

Reception and service are great. Room is clean. Had a room facing Astor Terrace which smells of cooking oil and fried eggs during the operation hours of the cafe which has its kitchen exhaust on the lower roof. So the room smells during early morning, lunch and dinner time. House keeping uses strong air freshener which makes the air somewhat even worse.

Punthill cosy

Although this building doesn't seem much on the outside, its cleanliness, location and equipment provided in the room was amazing. Despite an old small lift, we could fit in four huge luggages well. Inspired by the thoughtful quotes written on the pillar at the lobby updated daily! Great location!

Great for City Centre stay

Conveniently situated, a 5-10 minutes walk from the central station, this hotel delivered all that was promised. Although we arrived after 9pm, keys were left conveniently situated in a small locker in reception. Room was spacious, clean, modern, well appointed with comfy beds, quiet aircon' and a good shower. The proprietor was very welcoming, warm and friendly. We would definitely come back. Also recommend the cafe next door which does a great breakfast.

Conveniently located

We enjoyed our four nights stay. When we checked in the sliding door at the balcony was not working and the tap was also leaking. This was fixed the very next day. The only problem is only that the hotel may not be senior friendly. My mum had a hard time walking the slope and stairs leading to the train station.

Happy Stay

I like this apartment-hotel. It is in a good spot, about 5 minutes away from the Central train station, and where the downtown experiences are at - the malls, restaurants, and even casino are nearby. The hotel is in a quieter part which works out well for me. Enjoy taking in the cool breeze (well, it is end of Winter/start of Spring) every morning, standing in the balcony with coffee mug in hand. Love the modern deco in the room. The only downside to this is that from the train station to the apartment, it is an uphill walk. Which is great for someone who does not really exercise that much. :)

Cosy studio

The space of the room was just nice, not too big and not too small, with most of facilities I needed were there. There is also a mini-gym where the equipment were quite adequate I would say ranging from the free weights, bike, gym ball and a multi-stations-stack-weights-machine. There are posters on information of training techniques and the different type of exercises around this gym. It's also convenient that there is also a bathroom next to this gym. The swimming pool is abit small though, other than that, everything was great! :)

Value for money and great location

The accommodation is near to Central station which is very convenient for us. It is also very near to the city which is just a 10 minutes walk. The accommodation has basically everything that I would like to have, not too small, kitchenette, free wireless internet, good location and cleanliness. The toilet is very clean, and maybe can be better for the kitchenette stove area and floor, but they are still acceptable. We cooked daily for our dinner and breakfast! We love it. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is really great! The only real let down for us was the free wireless internet. We could hardly get connected during peak hours. When we are connected, we could hardly surf the net. As we were going everywhere via public transport, thus, checking the timetable schedule for buses, ferries was especially crucial for us to plan our next day itinerary. It was quite frustrating that we couldn't really do it at all.. Otherwise, it would have been perfect!

Nice little hotel

After reading all the positives reviews, i decided to give Punthill Brisbane a try and boy am i glad i did. If I want to be extremely picky, there were only 2 things to highlight. One, the carpark was a little small so it was almost completely full (one lot left) when we got back one evening. Two, there is only one lift so sometimes the wait can be a tad long. But since I was there for leisure and not work, I was not bother at all. All in all a great hotel, really modern and clean room, fantastic location and I would certainly stay here again if I'm back in Brisbane :)
