Suitable for families with younger kids

Lots to do, and you can use the restaurants at the sister hotel JW Marriott & charge to your room, but not the facilities, which was odd. Beware, this hotel is not on the beach. You have to take a buggy or bus to the JW Marriott (which is in the beach) and then through the hotel. If I’d had know I would book JW instead

The people! You really get a warmth touch through all their gestures throughout the stay. this applies to all positions within the resort. Very attentive and helpful to ensure guests enjoyed their holiday. i really highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a cosy relaxing staycation.

Well equipped rooms, great resort facilities

Rooms and kitchen were well equipped. Kitchen had knives, cutting boards etc. Surprised to find that a washer and dryer and washing detergent was also provided. Kids loved the Kids Club which had regular activities. Resort was safe for kids to run around the resort on their own.

Marriott Vacation Club at Mai Khao

1. Mr Gee, Mr Pu, Ms Nadia, Ms Pia,Ms Pete, the house keeping, waiters at breakfast. Mr Gee is always concerned with how the guests are faring. Mr Pu like wise. Ms Nadia conducts fun fitness activites for the children and parents.. Ms Pete is friendly and always accomodating. There is a fire dancing show, numerous activies for children and family. There is small pond fishing for children, face painting, rock climbing, bicycles, If you have young children, thnis is a great resort to go to. I wouild recommend it to family and friends. 2. Some things that I would request for if i revisit. Marriott Vacation Club building is in a tropical area so there will be insects and mosquitos (sometimes) around. Upon check in , you will want to ask for incense and matches. If you were given a personal pool, be sure to have the pool filter working so its "cleaner". if there is a damp smell in the room, ask for a dehumidifier. There are convenient shuttle buses that ferry guets from the JW marriott club to Marriott vacation club. Guests will want to check out the sunset at the beach. When it gets dark, you can call for a buggy to pick you up, 1 improvement would be to have the buggy phone closer to a place that has better lighting becaus the path that leads back to marriott vacation club is quite dark after sunsent.

Pleasent hotel with great staff. Lots of activites for kids at the kids club. Good facilities for adults too. Kids pool is relatively small, expected something a little bigger. Food is expensive, not value for money... you’re better off eating at some of the restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Rooms were a little musky and had a constant damp feeling, but otherwise it was clean.

Convenient for families

Super convenient and accessible for families with young kids. Rooms were impeccably kept, with nice interior decor and superb bathtub in the master room for kids to play in. Only pity is the limited eating options within the resort, but that can be counteracted with eateries at the nearby turtle village.

Pretty good for the price

Overall very good. Nice spacious units and friendly staff. Areas of improvement would be the quality of the wifi, doesn't work welll from the 2nd bedroom.

Great family resort

Spacious and good service

Spacious 2br villas, we enjoyed our stayed at the Marriott Mai Khow beach. You could also enjoyed the amenities of the JW Marriott hotel and beach front, convenient walking distance to turtle village for groceries and restaurants.

Excellent for family holidays

The location is not the usual suspect of Phuket but not an issue if you're booked on tours that usually include two way hotel transport. The hotel is more like a home away from home so ideal for family travelers with kids with lots of space.

Great for families and children

We stayed on a rainy week, but the 2 bedroom apartment was big enough for two toddlers to run around in. We liked the balcony for the extra space as well. The pool is fantastic, with a waterslide and two childrens' pools. The visit from the elephant each day was an amazing part of the holiday - the kids loved being up close with the elephant. We found the Turtle Mart close by very easy to find everything we needed to cook for the kids, and in general the prices were fairly comparable on the basics. The beach was a 500m walk away, or the hotel will drop you there in a buggy and the kids loved the ride. The water was too rough to swim (maybe because of the weather) but it was a nice beach to walk along.
