Beautiful unique place in the middle of Sequoia National Park. 90 minutes ride up to the mountains 7500 feet. Very nice people working in this little 10 house resort. If you like the quiet this is where you go.

The Rock Cabin rocks!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rock Cabin! Falling asleep to the sound of water and crickets was really wonderful. The restaurant was amazing! We especially loved having pie each morning with our coffee. Speaking of coffee, we loved walking into the cabin and seeing complementary local coffee, waiting for us. I also want to leave a little note that the road up to the cabin was pretty intense and a little scary at parts…But if you take your time, it’ll be worth the drive!

This place is the perfect way to experience Mineral King. The cabins are clean and comfortable, the crew is friendly and helpful and the food is very good. And the highlight is, of course, the unbelievable trails that are nearby.

This location is extremely remote which I think is the point. The staff is incredible, the property was great and the food was delicious. Completely blown away by how great this was. Local hiking trails a mere 10 mins away.

Please make sure you understand that this property is a hour drive from the highway on a barely improved road. Arriving after dark is not advised. Other than that was a nice place with a good quality restaurant. I do not recommend for staying there to visit the national park, but does work well as a destination stay.

Beautiful place, calm, quiet, peaceful, stars… but transportation to get there is over a treacherous, winding road for 20 miles. Be forewarned.

Not for the feint of heart.

The resort itself was nice. The staff was very friendly and efficient. However our cabin was beyond rustic, the floor was not level, so bad that they used rocks to keep the cupboards shut. No toilet or electricity, stove, fridge and lights are all gas. Half inch spaces on either side of fridge let the outdoors in. I think that they could do better describing what you're getting for your $$. Also, a warning about the awful road, would be nice. It takes nearly 2 hours to go 22 miles.

I can honestly say I've never stayed in a cabin without a restroom or electricity and I heated it with the wood they provided which was very funlight were propane lights, lit with a match. However the drive up and down the Mt. Was at the least, not for the faint of heart...very rough on my car.

It was a nice property. Off the grid. The wifi only reaches a certain point. Bathrooms are separate from cabins. Cabins don’t have electricity but overall great to sleep in with gas lighting and wood fireplace if needed. The road has a lot of turns takes about a little over an hour to get to. Just keep driving and you will reach the cabin as there are no signs indicating if your going the right way or not but we followed GPS and it led us to there. Friendly staff and great food, family friendly.

Beautiful location! Although I hated the road to get there. Everyone was very welcoming. I was unaware that the cabin I rented did not have electricity, so that was a bit of a shocker. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

We had a wonderful and magical stay at Silver City. The location is absolutely breathtaking, up a seriously steep and windy road, but totally worth it and with great access to numerous hikes. The staff at the resort were extremely helpful and friendly. We will be recommending Silver City to everyone!

A Comfortable Way to Experience Mineral King

This is a great place to stay and experience Mineral King. The restaurant has good, but limited food. It was nice to be able to have a beer and piece of pie after cooking our own food in the cabin (bring all the food you think you'll need!). Don't forget that these are cabins in the wilderness, even though they are kept very clean and have updated kitchens. Be sure to put your food away so critters don't get it. The Rock Cabin was great for us, although it has a weird layout so you have to go outside on the porch to get from the kitchen/main room to the toilet and bedrooms. The back porch over the stream was a nice place to hang out. The showers in the separate building are close and very nice and very clean. There's a nice playground and and nice places to sit out and enjoy the incredible beauty of the place. The staff were all very nice. It's a short drive to magnificent trailheads. We will definitely return!
