Large comfortable apartment. Location is excellent, near to shops, restaurants and tour pick-up points. Very quick and responsive to emails and queries. I will definitely book Room with a View again on my next trip to Iceland.

ok hotel if want to stay on the main shopping str

Good location as the hotel is located on the main shopping street (Laugavegur) so there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Noisy at night as our room was facing the side street and there is a bar downstairs so we can hear people talking. Friend’s room is located in another wing and was weirdly gigantic even though we book the same room type. Hot water from tap has Sulphur smell

In the heart of the city

Prefect location. No breakfast is ok as there is small kitchen in the room! Minus Point is the noise from the street.

Great location apartment

We booked the apartment for our three nights stay in Iceland. The room is big and the location is good, however, the design of the room is not as bright as the pictures shown. It's painted with red and black and the lights are mainly yellow lights as well. We do enjoyed the stay there but thinking that if we can get the more updated information about the room, we may not as shock as the first step in we felt. The location is nice for nightlife. If you love to have some excitements at night, it's a very good choice for you.

Good location but noisy

Location is fantastic as you are right on Laugavegur which is the main shopping street, and only 5-10 mins walk to the main sights - Hallgrimskirsja and Harpa. Lots of food around as well. The only thing is that there are bars near the hotel so you would get drunk people screaming down the road all night until about 5am before it gets really quiet. So don't stay here if you are a light sleeper. The room was quite cosy and clean. And there wasn't really a view despite the name - we had a view looking into the next building. I found the staff quite rude and unwilling to help. Wifi was also a bit spotty at times but still worked. There are many other hotels along this stretch so you might be better off looking elsewhere - nothing special here.

well located

Apartments are in the city center within walking distance to major city attractions. We liked the 3 bedroom unit better than the 2 bedroom unit. Very spacious and comfortable. Noisy at times but when we closed the windows, it was OK. Service was good as well. A good stay overall.

Soft beds, Great location, Good service

I find that the bed is too soft for me. Location is good and supermarkets are 10 to 15 minutes-walk from hotel. Room is clean and staff are really friendly. But room at night is really noisy because you can hear people singing and shouting from 10pm - 3am in the morning, but that's only during the weekend. So light sleepers must bring your own ear plugs and this will be a good hotel to stay in.

Parking was a challenge. I love that the apartment sits right outside the main strip with great bars, shopping and restaurants within walking distance. However, the locals and tourists party until 2AM so noise was definitely an issue when trying to sleep. However, the noise was not a deal breaker and would definitely stay at this property on my next visit.

Great location right in the prime shopping and dining area and a short walk to many attractions. Clean space with comfortable beds and nicely furnished kitchen. It is a little loud if you are in the front units because the street it is on is in such a prime location. It is loud until 1am or later. They must know this because they left us ear plugs which were a godsend.

We stayed all over In Reykjavik and decided on these apartments our last 2 nights. I wish we had stayed here the whole week. The place has a ton of space, 3 beds, a full kitchen and in the most ideal spot in town and right next to Big Lebowski Bar. You are centrally located here. Don’t spend the money on the higher priced small hotel rooms. That’s what I did as I have status with most brands and this was a better option.

Didn't get the room we paid for. Front door to the building malfunctions and leaves you stranded in the cold. Owner doesn't answer calls. Worst stay I've ever had.

We have problem during first and the next day the code for the door is very sensitive which we understand but we called and they helped us.we feel bad that we keep calling them to help us open the door for us.the room is big and clean nice bed linens and towels.the shower is complicated to used but we learned how to used the next day.we have the city view. emils the maintenance was so nice brought us phone chargers.the bar downstairs so loud until like 2am in the morning for the weekends.we’re good we’re tired from the tour and we don’t mind the music we slept ok.and good music.we love that when we go out everything is in there for you the restaurants shopping supermarket bus stop taxi stand.bakery and everything u need.

Awesome place with a couple drawbacks

The apartment is very clean and comfortable. It has great views and the location was awesome for proximity to things. However, we didn’t know from the ad that it is located next to a night club/bar so it was very loud until late. It was difficult to sleep which was a big problem. We also didn’t receive the check in information, arrived at 11 pm and had to spend an hour in the lobby trying to get in after a long flight. We were exhausted so this started the trip off rough. The phone # didn’t work for unknown reasons (we could call other Iceland phone #s).

The location is excellent for shipping and site seeing and this was the only place I could find that had two twin beds plus a queen for my family of four. That said, be aware that this is directly above a bar that has live music every night. While it ended relatively early, families with small children may not find this appropriate, and you may want to bring ear plugs. Also, with no front desk I also struggled to get fresh towels (had to ask multiple times and finally just caught the maid in the hallway).

Good central location in a tourist zone

Older building but very well taken care of. Lovely studio with everything you need. A little loud from parties on the street, but nothing closed windows and black out curtains can't fix! Contactless communication but all the emails, etc. are super helpful! Recommend.

Fantastic location and easy to get a hold of management for early check-in. Only reason we did not rate a 5 is the strange smell, which was not overpowering at all, and broken lightbulbs in the hallway that never got fixed. Would stay again!
