Great stay in Ironbridge - easy parking across the river - Good food.
Old building so not soundproof rooms, but a great stay in a top location by the river
Wonderful stay in picturesque inn. You might need a guide to find your room, but, once found, it will comfortable and bright with all you need. Breakfasts are great, as is the restaurant, and the staff were cheerful and helpful! The location is an added bonus as it is very picturesque.
Stunning room in the recently refurbished new section with a really comfy bed , wonderful bathroom my only negative was that the room was a little cold date of visit 23/01/24
but would highly recommend and definitely stay again
Absolutely brilliant night away with my husband. The room was just perfect and was very comfortable. The hotel is in a beautiful location and although there is no on site parking its just a short walk over the iron bridge to a long stay carpark and it cost us £2.40. The parking is free over night. Its an old building but the room felt fresh and modern and the staff were all very friendly a d welcoming.

Fantastic setting for tourists
Generally, all was sound with the room and the property overall. Lovely setting and great looking pub with good selection of beers and wines etc. Business travellers beware of the "late" breakfast (normal 0800-0900) which can be pre-ordered for 0730 (if you are aware). Also, was not possible to get food after 8pm so I missed both dinner and breakfast - the joys of working away!
Good central position parking nearby in public carpark but a bit difficult to drop of large amounts of luggage outside the property. Towel left behind the door from previous guests. Shower above the bath but no non-slip bathmat this would have been helpful. Food in the restaurant excellent.
The hotel had no onsite parking it was freezing cold in the rooms booked two rooms at the cost £140 both myself and colleague didn’t sleep all night as it was so cold no food or drink available as the Bar and Restaurant was closed at 6pm without any notice or warning.

Badly described
I did not stay in the establishment because I was unable to walk from the car park ( which you had to pay for) back to the hotel with my luggage. Had I known that before I booked I would not have used this hotel.
The room was nice, but the heating didn’t work. The walls were also very thin so the toilet and shower were quite loud from the room next door. Wifi was sporadic and non existent at times.

Owners need to take notice of customer feedback
The White Hart is generally OK and the bedroom was comfortable, but it's disappointing that there was no hot water on the morning of our stay, so we couldn't shower, the heating didn't work in the bathroom and that the staff were too young and inexperienced to manage the problem when we told them at check out. We messaged the hotel twice to complain and received no response on either occasion. We stayed in room 2. Also worth noting that an iron burn on the bedroom carpet and a huge stain on the lino on the bathroom floor really need to be dealt with. It completely undermines the 'superior' description of the room.

Ok but...
When we arrived at the pub there was quite a crowd outside but inside it was quiet so when we arrived at our room it seemed peaceful. When we returned in the evening the pub was full and due to that the toilets were in full use. Every time someone used the hand dryers it sounds like they were in our bedroom.
The room was well laid out but the finer details, that were missed, reduced the comfort of stay, for instance the bathroom door which is next to the bed doesn't fully close. The velux blind was broken so as soon as the sun came up it woke us up and all the TV channels said there wasn't any signal bar a news channel.
Over the staff were lovely, especially the lady who helped us at breakfast when we needed to leave before the allotted breakfast time, but the rooms need a bit more attention to detail and a bit more soundproofing.

Nice & convenient. Shows potential but could be much nicer if attention to detail. Loose creaky headboard. Good breakfast.

Ok find
Was average staff were great but everything was tired
No parking
I highly recommend The White Hart. I arrived early but they let me check in immediately as the room was ready. Lovely view across to the river. Delish breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for ANY of the staff in all the different areas of the hotel. Loved my short stay. Thank you.
One night stay as visiting family nearby. Hotel is fine just difficult to get to due to due to flooding defences which obviously can’t be helped. Ironbridge is a very interesting place with lots to see
We rated the White Hart as an excellent place to stay, we could not fault it. The bedroom overlooked the river, was large, clean and tidy. We had a meal in the restaurant the first night which was very good, the staff were friendly and service was great. The breakfast was a full English and we also requested porridge which was not on the menu, however the staff brought it in the following morning especially for us. The White Hart is in the centre of Ironbridge and close to all other attractions.
We booked a low cost room, however it was comfortable. The 5 star rating reflects the service received and the quality of the food (both breakfast & dinner). Staff were extremely polite and attentive. In line with other Ironbridge hotels adjacent to the river, car parking is free for 40 minutes immediately outside the establishment, with free parking overnight in the short stay car park (2 minutes walk) from 5pm to 10am, therefore we incurred no parking charges.
Good location close to the Iron Bridge and local shops. Access to room was ok but a little maze like to carry luggage. Advert suggested parking but this was either on the road if you could get space or public car park 1/4 mile away. Water in room was either extreme hot to freezing cold with a hair width movement of shower tap. Biggest thing for me was the rather musky smelling room on arrival which did not seem to go away. Food was ok at dinner but expect 10% service charge and at breakfast I was asked how I would like my eggs cooked but only received one, with one rasher of bacon, one sausage which to me was a little stingy.
Room itself was perfectly clean. Bed comfortable, shower good and vegetarian breakfast lovely. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The room was quite noisy until 11pm (when the pub closes, the hand dryer in the pub toilets must be immediately under the bed!) but after 11pm, really quiet all night. Hallways seem to smell of stale smoke (which is odd given how long it's been banned for), but the room itself wasn't an issue.
This was about half the price friends staying further along the same road were paying, very good value for money. Thank you.
