This place is so family friendly The pool is a beach entry and it has a rail for the lederly and a slide for the young and young at heart. I used to take my kids there for about 10 yrs and now i take my grandkids. It is great

Good older style apartments ( opened 1984). Apartment had been refurbished - vg. Great views, pool & walking distance to beach (2 min) & shops/ pub/ surf club (5 min) Underground Car park not the best. Road works on both major highway increase transit time (x2) to Surfer and points north. Hope finished when you visit.

We loved our stay at the Royal Palm in a huge 2bed 2bath room on level 13, with AC & carpark space. We could move from beach to pool and waking up to that view was fabulous (tho the black-out curtains couldn’t keep all the morning sun out unfortunately). It seemed a bit old with slow internet but is kept nice & clean. Such a lovely relaxing location & wish we lived closer to stay more often!

We loved the pool - temperature was perfect. Also the proximity to the beach. We weren't impressed with the walk upstairs from carpark to lifts from carpark A. Nor the walk downsteps afterwards from the pool. Otherwise unit was beautiful. Will definiely consider returning.

Expectations weren't high but was pleasantly surprised. Had some minor hiccups with a fridge not working but staff were friendly and responsive and we had a replacement fridge in no time.

The views from our apartment were amazing. The grounds and pool were also amazing. The pool temperature was perfect . The location is also great with easy walk to Coles and surrounding areas. We stayed for 9 nights and the weather was very hot so next time we book , we would ensure that the unit that we stay in had either ceiling fans or A/C. Our unit only had pedestal fans which normally might have been ok but due to the heat, our unit was sometimes very hot. We requested a high floor apartment and the staff at Royal Palm were very accomodating, the views were amazing. We also booked the apartment at a very reasonable price so all in all, we had a great stay and look forward to visiting again.

We did not enjoy our stay here. Booked a “deluxe” two bedroom apartment and it was anything but deluxe. Room extremely old which doesn’t make for an enjoyable stay. Carpet foul, unit smelt musty. No ceiling fans. Broken ceiling light. Despite being advertised as ocean front, you can barely see the ocean. Very deceiving listing. Even though some reviews are good and while there may be some renovated rooms, it’s honestly not worth the gamble. If you get an old room the stay is unpleasant at best. Considering what these units book for per week it’s mind boggling that the owners don’t update the furniture to make the stay more enjoyable. Very greedy. While we were there the gate to the beach wasn’t working so we had to use the highway to access the beach. I can see why their bookings are non-refundable as as soon as people do a little digging they would want to cancel. Don’t waste your money. Many nicer places to stay with the same great location.

Pros - The pool and lounge area is excellent. The pool is deep and spacious, with a water slide and nice hot tub. There is ample seating around the area. - Location is right next to the beach and a great playground and cafe is a short walk away. - Parking downstairs was convenient and easy. - The view (15th floor) was spectacular. - The apartment was well equipped and had internet and foxtell. Cons: - I requested an air-conditioned room. I did not receive communication around this and our room did not have air conditioning. Fortunately, the week we stayed was fairly cool (around 26degrees) most days, so we were able to just keep the doors open a bit. I would not be able to stay in this apartment in summer without air conditioning. - The apartment did not have screens or keyed locks on the windows and doors. This is a hazard for small children, so I ended up using broom sticks ect to jam the doors and windows shut at night to ensure that the kids didn't play around the windows or balcony at night, as we were on the 15th floor. - The lack of screens also meant we could not leave the door open at night to get the cool sea breeze, and have the TV or lights on as a lot of bugs came into the apartment the first night. - I booked a BBQ and gazebo for dinner one night. Two out of four BBQ's were not working, and the lights in the gazebo were also out. - Some parts need updating, such as the checkers pieces are completely falling apart
