Very cute little chalet. Everything felt well maintained and clean upon arrival. The property was quiet and felt private. Loved that there was a fire pit right outside of our chalet. Communication with the owners and check in/out was super easy. Would love to stay there again

We really loved staying here, even booked a second night! The cozy cabin with the real wood stove was great. Although the cabin is older, it had a perfect vibe to it. Shower pressure and temps were good and bed was comfy. Would happily come back again. Great communication from the hosts was also a great bonus!

We were looking for some privacy for a few days away in the mountains. We found this property and it was everything we were looking for. A small cabin sitting back off the road in a natural setting. Clean, private with a fireplace. We look forward to a return visit soon.

I stayed in the Hemlock cabin. It was a quick visit but the cabin was exactly what I needed - relaxing. It set in the back of the property in a secluded area. The setting of being in a wooded area with snow on the ground was perfect. Wilderness Inn is in a excellent location. Close to Whiteface Mountain and many of the high peaks hiking trails.

Woodsy

We had the best cabin maybe, Hemlock. I can't comment on all of them, but our friends' was smaller and darker inside. Hemlock was great. It has a good kitchen.

Great 2 night stay!

Had a really nice 2 night stay. Clean Room. Shower, Hot water. Refrigerator and Microwave (although we didn't need to use them). Bed was comfortable and super quiet all around. Few minor improvements could include changing the lock. I had to fiddle around with it to lock it every time. The bathroom could use few Hooks behind the door to hand clothes. Just minor stuff. Excellent stay otherwise. Will book here again for our next Whiteface Mountain area trip! Another thing I'd suggest for the owner to post a warning about Pine Sap falling on your car if you park under the trees. My car smelled so good in the morning after the rain but it has been a nightmare to clean them off the windshield as well as the body of the car. I wish I had known about it as I had a disposable cover I could have used.

Not sure how the Wilderness Inn cabins receive such high ratings, other than the price was very reasonable. I have stayed at other locations in the Wilmington area during my spring and fall fishing trips over the past twenty years, but this was the first time I stayed at a Wilderness Inn cabin (Norway). I decided to book a quick, last minute, one night trip and found the Wilderness Inn to have the best price through Expedia. After the initial booking contact I found additional communications to be somewhat lacking, but it did not prevent me from getting into my cabin upon arrival. I found the access driveway into the cabin to be a rough, unimproved dirt road and was glad it wasn’t raining, as that drive could have become a muddy mess. As for the cabin itself, I found it to be cozy and reasonably clean, with comfortable beds and a roomy bathroom with tub/shower with plenty of towels and hot water provided by an on-demand tankless water heater. The in-cabin wood burning fireplace would be awesome in cooler weather. Be advised that there is virtually no closet space, which was not a problem for a one night stay for one person, but could be an issue for longer stays with more people. In room amenities included a TV, microwave and coffee maker, but be advised the microwave is very small. During my stay in mid-May I found no restaurants in the area open. Evidently everything is closed until the Memorial Day weekend. In summary, would I stay there again? Yes!

Definitely NOT 9.4

Booked this property based on the cabin feel concept, separate bedroom floor plan, and the 9.4 hotels.com rating. I don't know how the average rating of this property can be 9.4. It is nowhere close. We checked in to sub 10° outdoor temps. Inside was the same. Heat not working. Fireplace borderline unsafe with a broken flue damper stuck in open position. So no heat there either. Owner Yann put us in the "cabin" next door. I use quotes, because it was a 70s vintage mobile home that looked as though nothing had been done to it since it was built and rolled onto the property. At least here was heat. For the competitive price charged, it was most certainly NOT competitive quality. As long as you're aware of the considerable lack of upkeep and maintenance to make your choice wisely. I could go on, but everyone deserves to make a living. Just know what you're renting.

Genuinely if you’re in the area and seeking a tranquil little refuge. Look no further. Take it from a guy (me) who books everything last minute. I just happened to pick this place after a long day of hiking and traveling, only to discover how nice it was after. Clean cabins with wonderful owners. Close to everything in the nearby towns, but feels like you’re deep in the woods for a retreat. 10/10.
