Lovely stay at Kalimna Wood Cottage once again

This was my 2nd time staying at Kalimna Wood Cottage. Once again, I am impressed with the comfort of the rustic, yet functional, premises. It is lovely to have beds with electric blankets, the romanticism of the wood stove to keep the cottage cosy and toasty. Our host, Arthur, was delightfully hospitable. Point to note, get to the cottage during the daylight. The darkness of the surrounds can be quite daunting for the uninitiated city folk.

We loved these cottages - the surrounding farmland and bush with the lakes at the end of the street made it the perfect location to immerse ourselves in nature. The fireplace and spa were the perfect touch for the cold evening

Too dirty, floors, windows, woodwork table etc

The place was dirty, hadn’t been dusted or wiped down in months/years tables and floors sticky, even the carpet. You wouldn’t have bare feet in the place. Luckily we only stayed on night. Access was easy, we had no contact with anyone place looked almost empty.

Was a great little place but most of the dishes were dirty and had mould on it besides that will go back again, the guy that runs it was really friendly and helpful gave good ideas to go to places

We loved feeding the possums and the beautiful, quiet bush setting of this lovely little cabin. While the cabin itself is dated and could probably do with a freshen up, everything was clean and comfortable enough. Shower was great! It rained during our stay, which made the driveway in and out of the property quite muddy & slippery, so just be cautious, especially at night. The owner is very friendly and helpful and his cute little puppy was a hit with the kids! We would be happy to stay again

What a little gem of a find. Absolutely beautiful cottage right in the woods and yet a 5 min drive to town. Jack is a wealth of knowledge and there is bird and possum feeding at certain times. There are beautiful parrots, a goose, chickens and a free range rabbit. Kids would love this place and there is a play area for the littlies. We had a 2 bedroom room with a spa and the fireplace was a bonus. Great size and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was very strong . There is also a fully stocked kitchen and washing machines and dryers. I can’t say enough about this place except we will be back again
