Ocean spray apartments are an absolute dream! The staff was wonderful and helpful, and the area around is stunning. The restaurant is currently being built but my husband and I checked out the local markets close by and found lots of food to make ourselves with fresh eggs, fruit and bread. There are tons of bus stops that can take you all over the island if you dont want to rent a car, if you ask the bus drivers they will always either take you to where you need to go, or point you in the best direction possible. The beaches nearby are amazing for swimming and sunbathing. Our experiences in Barbados were second to none and i highly recommend staying with Ocean Spray Apartments!

Great stay

We had a great stay. Near the airport. A shop and bar is a 2 min walk away, which is great. Breakfast at the cafe on site was amazing. Our only complaint was the water in the shower wasn't always hot, depending on the time of day, but that was pretty minor. Staff were very friendly, and the ocean view and breeze was incredible.

The owner and staff members are amazing! The rooms are dated but tidy. Every bedroom has a/c, which is needed. The property itself is stunning and wild. It is a bit off the beaten path so a car is useful. It is only a 5 minute drive to Oistens for good food and a decent grocery store. Would stay again!

I was upset about the room when we arrived, bc it looks NOTHING like what I saw online. No colorful decor/linen at all… everything was white. It was kinda scary at first… then we just made the best of our stay after we saw the ocean view, that was the best part. There were no place to get food, no atm, no snack machine, etc. The bed online stated that it was Tempur-pedic and it was the worse bed I ever slept on. Some days we didn’t have hot water. Again, besides the ocean view it’s nothing good I can say about this property.

Hidden Gem

Ocean Spray Apartments are the very essence of a hidden gem! The room was very clean and comfortable, and gave us the closest balcony view of the ocean we’d ever seen on land. The manager, Sharon, was very friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. Breakfast in the cafe was delicious and an excellent value. There was plenty of comfortable seating in both sunny and shady locations, and the ocean breezes can’t be beat. We can’t say enough positive things about Ocean Spray Apartments. 10 out of 10!!

I Wouldn't Give This Place One Star!!!!

The place looks nothing like the photos at all!! It's in a dodgy area, rooms are utter filth, no hot water, there is no one at reception so you have to wait forever to check in, they state they have an airport shuttle which they don't .... they call their friends who are taxi drivers and try to charge extortionist rates! The first price I got quoted was three times the amount stated on their website and what I paid from the airport to get there!

Overall it was a nice property however I paid extra for an ocean view and most of the view was covered by trees. Very disappointed. If I can get reimbursed for the extra I paid that would be great!

Ensure you come in with food and water. There are no ammenities on compound or nearby. Stayed over for my connecting flight and had to spend the night without drink. The rooms are fairly old-fashioned and need rennovation. Front-desk is friendly, and property is surrounded by a large wall. Not sure how safe surrounding environment is, but it feels isolated from the rest of the community.

Gorgeous views. However, the sheets were stained and I just didn’t feel clean. I slept in my clothes. Also, there is no warm or hot water which sucks when you want to wash away the days troubles. I loved the doors to the patio, however French doors would be more stunning. Lastly, because there isn’t much around as far as food is concerned so a little shop, convenient store, or something would be nice.

3 star hotel norms should be maintained properly. We found cleanliness issues in room. There’s no mat, napkins in the room. Bees are flying in the apartment’s cafeteria. Room cleaning service is not daily. Good things are surroundings is amazing and safe. No Transportation problem though distance is very far from most of the tourist attractions.
