Convenient location, neat and clean property. It does not have an elevator so if you have heavy luggage like we did, do take note that you might have to lift your bags up 2-3 stories!

Nice small traditional hotel

These are small studios equipped with a small kitchen. The kitchen was very clean and well maintained. The bedroom section and also the bathroom were clean and spotless. For most rooms you have to use stairs (some several floors), so better to ask for a low floor room if you are having problems with climbing.

A good location not far from a few tube stations. Nice area too I felt quite safe coming back late at night. Downside of it being a nice area is they seem to road sweep every morning quite early on! It was a bit noisy but nothing too crazy.

Delighted to have found Vancouver Studios

I'm delighted to have found Vancouver Studios - it met all my needs. I had a single bed studio and it has be to the best possible example of achieving total ease of functionality in a small space I've seen - very cleverly designed and also immaculately clean, very comfortable and the bonus of a well considered decor (throughout - not just the studio). The shower had very good pressure and temperature control and there was surprisingly large cupboard - ideal for clothes, case, boots and quite a lot else! All needs met - even down to the dish towel (often missing in this style of accommodation). The reception staff were all charming and friendly and checked each morning as I left if I required the room serviced (I didn't and I like having a choice). In addition the reception is 7/24 which I find reassuring. I like the attitude to environmental awareness with the usual supply of shower gels, soaps, shampoos etc being provided by dispensers and not lots of little plastic bottles. The location is also excellent - very quiet and pleasant street yet only a 4 minute walk from the Circle line and 12 minute walk from Paddington Station on easy routes. Also a Tesco and Sainsbury's Local accessible within 4 minutes and a Waitrose and Boots within 6/7 minutes. Everything I might need very available! Totally recommend a visit and I certainly plan to go back

Cute place, comfortable beds, but for some people they might not like some of the shabbyness of just lots of use. Hot water was great, beds were comfortable, location was great too. We initially were put on the 4th floor, in which the stairs were a bit to small and narrow for my liking. The staff was kind enough to move us to the 2nd floor. If you need to wash clothes you have to do it between 8-8. Even in the winter the rooms were warm.

Clean but worn

Cosy property from a decor point of view, but very worn and old-fashioned. The room was also very worn and old-fashioned, but clean and neat (albeit the tiniest I had seen in a long time). No charging outlets for mobile phones or other devices (unless you carry a traditional power plug).

Great experience ruined by a receptionist

Up until the last minute it was top notch. Yes, there’s no elevator, steep stairs and the interior design might raise questions (like having the shower in the hallway), but for that price and location - amazing. Also great staff. All but one which changed the entire experience. Upon checking I asked the receptionist if he could order a taxi for me. It was for a very short ride, approximately 5 minutes to Paddington. Would have done that by foot if not the stormy weather. The receptionist said it’s not a problem and made a call. He said it would be like 10 minutes which I found odd, but had about 30 minutes till my train so didn’t mind. It didn’t take 10, it took 20. It wasn’t a real taxi either, just a driver who didn’t even know where the Elizabeth line platforms are. He dropped me in a place where I had to walk 5 minutes in the rain, and I also missed my train. But that’s forgivable. What is the fact he had no meter and demanded no less than 20 GBP for less than a mile. I had to pay in cash and got no receipt. Felt like a scam coordinated with the receptionist. For that, and only for that, I won’t return. Because everything else was great.

Close to 2 Bayswater and Queensway tubes. Paddington station about 20 minute walk (or 1 station away on tube), so a good option for the Elizabeth Line to or from the airport. Great proximity to Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill, Holland Park, Little Venice. Friendly staff. Quiet. Walkable to many shops and restaurants. Small kitchen. Overall a good budget stay. I think the hotel's 3-star rating is bang on. This isn't 4 or 5 star, but neither is the price. Would stay again. No elevator if you have any difficulty with stairs.

Dejligt sted centralt beliggende

Hyggeligt charmerende mindre hotel med meget venligt personale. Vi havde to enkelt værelser i forskellig størrelse, fint indrettet med det der skulle være, dog var det lidt svært at komme ind i begge værelser med kuffert pga. den smalle entre. Enkel men ok morgenmad. Skøn mindre gårdhave. Ligger i pænt og roligt kvarter tæt på Bayswater st. Der er ingen elevator og efter 2. sal bliver trappen smallere og stejlere, så er du mindre mobil så bed om et værelse under nr. 30. Vælger gerne samme hotellet igen.

Lovely hotel with bags of character. One thing I would say is that the stairs are very steep and quite a walk if you’re not in great shape, but this was all part of the charm of this beautiful old place.

The hotel was very conveniently located just a short walk from Bayswater Queensway, tube station, shops, restaurants and also Hyde Park. Converted from London townhouses, the hotel antique in layout and quite charming. There are some caveats though: I was in a single room and while well equipped, it was TINY. The second problem was that it was on the third floor, there is no lift and the staircase is VERY narrow and steep. I had bags and it was a real physical challenge to get them to my room. Beware the rooms on the third floor unless you are fit! 🙂 Overall it was a good stay though and I’d stay again.
