The phone was disconnected, the TV didn't work, there were a lot of locals in the hotel just hanging and drinking .
I asked for my phone to be fix and the ignored me.
A kid that wasn't staying at the hotel was in the pool and was really aggressive tours my daughter.
At the end ended up giving me and my coworker a room on a 5th floor and the elevators are still “out of service”
This is the second time I stay here and the first time was a month ago and they said the elevators “just” went out of service at that time.
Last week checked in again and had to walked out luggage up to the 5th floor without elevators still.
That’s insane.
They could be more honest about this and also try to give better-near rooms to people like us.
Anyways we just stayed here to sleep basically. But however they should improve their service.

Good location but service needs to be upgraded
The hotel is in a great location and for the area it’s one of the nicer hotels. However the air conditioning was very loud and the shower was broken when I arrived. They had to send someone up the fix it. I asked to have someone come fix the tv 3 times before someone actually came to the room. The pool and the restaurant was nice but the service not so much.

It was our first visit to the Dominican Republic. A few issues, one night both elevators had gone out and we were able to get them to reset them (due to power outage). We were on the 5th floor and didn't want to walk up. Most showers we had hot water, but a couple of them were quite cold. If would be nice if they had some English speaking employees. The Chef was wonderful at breakfast. He didn’t have the omelet station open. We motioned to him about the fresh omelet station and he motioned back would we like one. He went in the back and came out with fresh omelets he had made for us. The pool seems to be kept clean on a daily basis. Sunday afternoon at the pool, the staff brought us a table and chairs to the grassy area with trees so that we could put the baby in the pack n play in the shade. Very accommodating staff. Nightlife clubs are not too far away and we could hear the noise from the clubs quite late. If the bathroom door is shut and the air conditioner is running it can drown out the noise. There could be more English speaking TV channels in the room. The room was nothing fancy but comfortable and compared to the area, it is a very nice complex. We would stay at this hotel again.

Our trip was a mission trip and days were long and hot and looked forward to hot bath every night. No water, it would be shut off every day in the evening until the next morning which we were always gone too early for bath. Hotel never informed us of this! And when we asked them to turn water back on they had no response.

This is a very nice hotel in a rough yet beautiful part of the DR. It's a long hot ride from Santo Domingo but some great coastal scenerery awaits. Plus, there is the lagoon further down the highway with a nationally protected island. On the island are unique iguanas. The boat ride out is cheap and the guides are competent naturalists. You can go the forest for a hike and birdwatching or to Lake Enriquillo. A 4x4 would be useful but we did it without. A guide is useful, however. Ask for Yorby Matos at the hotel desk. He is an amazing guide and bird spotter plus an awesome person. If you know a little Spanish you can combine with his bit of English to communicate quite effectively.
