Comfortable Stay

The stay was comfortable except that one of the lift was out of service for more than 5 days and only left with one to service all the floors which take more than a few minutes of wait each time. Would like the hotel staff to remind guest to lower their voice and do not slam the door when entering or leaving their rooms so that they will not inconvenient the other guests.

Good stay but will try other accommodation

Stayed in Mantra Midtown for 3 nights on their top level 28. Pros: The 2 bedder was clean, comfy and modern. Neighborhood was good as it's on Charlotte street, 5 min walk to Queen Street Mall. Many nearby Asian food along Charlotte street. Cons: The smell from the refuse chute along the corridor was bad. The bathroom water kept coming out and cause the floors to be wet. One of the sink in the bathroom was heavily clogged. Already paid wifi from hotels.com was not available during my stay as mantra midtown mentioned they were doing some works on the wifi system. No refund available.

Enjoyable stay.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, able to provide a room for early check in fast. Second time i stay at this hotel and will surely re-book again.

Frills free serviced apartment

Simple fuss free and frills free. It was located within 5 min walk from Elizabeth St and George St, meaning all the major shopping malls and brands are within walking distance. Coles Central, Myers and Woolworths was within walking distance too.

Sleepiness in BNE

The hotel location is excellent and the room is generally clean and AIRCON etc works well. The check in and out was smooth and the reception staff were very helpful.The only 3 issues are that the queen bed is too small for a couple and my wife and I felt very squeezed in the small bed. Also the drapes do not cover the entirety of the windows so about 7 am the sun will come shining brightly in and wake us up. We were not able to sleep well at all and it took us a long time to fall asleep on the small bed, and then from about 2 am to 4 am there were loud noises sounding like garbage trucks making a din downstairs. So we finally slept about 5 am from exhaustion.

Nice room but the smell in the hallway was putrid. The lobby is gross too. And the staff was hardly warm. Not my favorite. Pool area well maintained. Wouldn’t stay here again.
