Acceptable, but definitely not a deal.

We arrived with great hospitality from the staff, and was told there were no more single room villa, so we were given a villa with 3 rooms. Not the most ideal scenario given that you'll be staying in a villa with 2 other empty rooms. It was pretty eerie. Probably due to the high walls built around the villa, the air was constantly stale and there was almost no wind at all. The pool lights did not work for the time we were there, with the super dim lighting, the whole stay was really quite uncomfortable. To add on, the LED light strip on the tree which i presume was to light up the walk way was perpetually not on, we had to call for the receptionist to get someone to turn the lights on, because there wasn't any switch in the villa to turn it on. Me and my friend ended up spending more time at our friend's Aleva villa which is just across the street. Recommended only if you're on a budget, and would like to stay in a balinese style villa, else spend your money in a proper hotel room, as you'd be out in the day exploring Seminyak anyway.

Nice private pool hotel

They surprised my wife with a birthday cake during breakfast. We were very impressed. We weren't expecting a full fledged kitchen too. The free shuttle to shopping areas was very prompt and friendly too. Overall with very courteous service we enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect stay!

Stayed in a 1 room villa with private pool! This place is located at about 10 mins (drive) away from the hopping area in seminyak! They have scheduled shuttle services to seminyak, kuta and legian! Was given discount for their spa as well! Polite staff! After you make a booking with Bali Dream Villa, call them and check the address of the place because they are located in 3 different places within seminyak. You will get a room in one of the 3 places depending on the no. of rooms you book

Beautiful Villa

It was a beautiful villa and we had a good and comfortable say. The location is quite central and is easy to get cabs just to any place in Bali. The private pool was great and was impressed with the size of it. We booked a 3 bed room villa and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to 4 bed room villa. However below are the things they can improve on 1. There was only one power point available and its simply not enough, we ended up plugging out the bed lamp's point to charge our phones 2. Mosquitoes is a big problem in Bali, but the villa could do more to control them 3. Breakfast was bare minimum, they can add a few more varieties. Overall it was a good stay and i would recommend this to my friends

The mosquitoes had a great time!

We were welcomed warmly but reception staff seemed to understand very limited English, saying yes to everything but not understanding what we had said. The villa had 3 nice bedrms but the pool was no larger than twice the size of a bathtub! The living/dining area was small and open despite assurances that it was enclosed when I booked! One small fan for this area barely kept us cool or the many mosquitoes away! The internet did not work the first night. We were upgraded to a 4-bedrm villa after speaking with the Deputy Manager, who was helpful. The living/dining area suffered the same problems as the other villa. The pool and garden were very poorly lit and the fountains for the pool did not work. The bedrooms did not have a single chair, so we ended up sitting around the bed and on the floor when we wanted to be together in the evenings to escape the mosquitoes. Reception staff also gave us very misleading information about distances to nearby shops and the cost of taxis - either they are ignorant or they wanted us to pay higher rates for the use of the villa cars! The above are examples of how to lose customers who visit Bali at least twice a year to other villas and resorts. We were offered 3 complimentary 30-min massages and a late checkout at 3pm to make up for the problems we had during our stay. We do not plan to stay here again unless they ensure the living and dining rooms are enclosed areas with good fans or air-conditioners.

2 Bedroom Villa with private pool

Spent 4 nights in room 137 and overall found the stay above average. They are saved by the good service offered by all their friendly staff. Having a private pool was something different but the novelty soon wore out after the 1st night. Plus our pool had some issues with the pump causing it to make so much noise in the night that we requested for the hotel to turn off the pump. One major -ve is the villa is located too far from the main Kuta, Seminyak areas, although they do provide free shuttle service to Kuta, Seminyak and Legian. But of course, for the price we paid we can't complain too much. The in house SPA was alo too costly, we paid $200,000 IDR for an hour's message whereas u can get it from $50,000-$100,000 at the city area. The room service food was good, which we were thankful for since there was no other restaurants nearby.

There are 3 Dream villa, namely Dream Villa 1, Dream Villa Seminyak and Dream Villa Suite. Read comments that Dream Villa 1 is older but it's fine for me. Overall, I feel that it's good value for money. Enjoyed my stay very much, not to mention the free shuttle. They even went to the restaurant and Jari Menari to pick me back to the villa! Really appreciate such heartwarming service.

Couldn't wait to leave

The main issue was the bathroom which smelt so bad we didn't spend anymore time in there than was necessary because it was almost unbearable. We complained about it and the staff just put more perfumed chemical balls near the drains which just made it smell like a strong mixture of unpleasant chemicals and old drains. The breakfast and room service food were both terrible, it was extremely basic and bad quality. The pool did not look hygienic and was didn't have a proper cleaning system, only a chlorine tablet which is not good enough for a pool of that size. We used it briefly and did not enjoy it. There were loud neighbours and the mosquito netting around the bed was filthy. The hotel bar was always empty, there was sometimes noise from construction work being carried out in other rooms and the place had quite a sad feeling to it. We chose this as our stay for the last few days on a long trip and spent a bit more than we would normally to have a bit of luxury before heading home. We couldn't wait to leave almost straight away. It was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in and the price cannot be justified at all. I hope this message will reach someone in charge there and they will be motivated to improve the hotel.

My partner and I stay for 4 out of 8 night due to mosquitoes in our room we had to check out early and ask for a refund. My partner had an allergic reaction after being bitten several times over, the place is beautiful but it is not functional the doors are not sealed so all bugs can come in, the shower open into the bathroom allowing even more bugs to come in. The mosquito net does not work we were awake at 2am killing the mosquitoes. The staff were amazing and very understanding. The restaurant food was great! We also had construction going on in the room across from us all day we heard grinding and banging.
