The Golden Lion hotel is lovely Grade 2 listed building. Very old but very pleasant. It was a perfect base for our weekend stay. It’s position is ideal to explore the coastline. Highly recommend

Short break with the dogs

Enjoyed our stay with our dogs. Very central to all amenities e.g. beach walks, shops etc. Great having a dining room where you could take the dogs into. Staff love dogs too so made a fuss of them. Will book again

The man on reception when I arrived was so lovely, and the lady on reception when I left was also lovely. The room was spacious & clean. The sea view was amazing. The room was warm and comfortable. Loved my solo stay.

All the staff are excellent. Bed was really comfortable. The showers were great and lovely fluffy towels. Hotel just a little tired in places. Definitely stop again.

The property was conveniently located near to the seafront. It was very stylish and traditional in character. The parking was a bit limited though with no marked bays but apart from that it was all very pleasant.
